Formula says for mine it should be 1.58 and the car has done a best of 1.61 but usually around 1.63-1.65. On a nitrous run the formula says 1.42 and my time slip magically says 1.42  I'd say it's fairly close.

LOL this is not new stuff guys, go buy a Moroso slide rule for 10 bucks Mine is 30 years old runs dead on, the turbo stuff that runs a small tire and progresive Nitrous it does not work for. Used to be everyone had one in the glove box

Yeah I know with the formula on our old radial car said we should have 1.106 sixty foot, best we ever got out of it was a 1.26. Lol!!

.12 x 7.8 + .17 = 1.106

Yes it can mine does the mph is low for the 60' Because of choices made and hook, hitting it harder up front, and 330ing is better I think on N/A cars and in my case. To much is made of 60'

What if your car is already going to 60' what the calculators are saying? are there people going faster than the calculators?

Yes, based on this equation my car calculates out to 1.4360 for my best pass ever (10.55), but a 1.43 60' for me is slow. I am usually 1.42 or 1.41, even when running slightly slower 10.60s or 10.70s. I would blame that on having a 4.56 rear gear ratio and a TH350. If it was a powerglide and/or <3.90 gears, I am sure the 60' would suffer a bit. This calculation can't be 100% accurate for everyone because there are just too many variables, but it will let you know if you are in the ballpark on a N/A combo.

Maybe for something with a 16" wide tire.
Why??? 16" tire better be going 0.9xx so you don't look out of place this day/age...:p

This calculator works well for most..........of course weight is a big factor, and power adder combo's may have issues, and certain combos have more power than the chassis is setup for, but for cars in the mid 1.1x's and up it works quite well.

Our best ET is 5.08 and our best 60' is 1.16 on a 29.5x10.5 and stock-suspension. SBF w/ 2 Kits @ 3-000 lbs. According to that we should be going 1.09.

I would have thought that any such 60' estimator should be MPH related not ET related because its easy to predict a 60' time by ET because the 60' time is actually a part of the ET. Its like saying if it takes me 10 seconds to walk out to the street it will probably take 20 seconds to walk out and back again.
If it were MPH related then we could actually get some insight into how fast our cars COULD do the 60' not how fast they are doing it in.

You would have to enter the 60' MPH

Yea but your soooooo old:smt103
Yea, but you have to watch out for those old guys. We know thing like mixing a bottle of Grecian Formula in a tank of gas will raise the octane level 10 points. Only problem with this is it turns your valve stems from a silver color to brown.....;)
