I saw a post on YB before where a guy bought a set of pro comp shaft rockers and they didnt even have bearings on the shaft, they were just the aluminium body running on the shaft. Pay a bit extra and get a proven product that will not let you down. Why risk these things to save a few bucks? A broken rocker could ruin a whole engine.

I think Probe rockers are now LGM....talk to Mark O'Neal or Shelton_Barrs on here.

The Yella Terra platinums are a good product. I have a set on my SBC for 2 seasons, no problems. One thing I would recommend is using lash caps. My roller tips were looking a bit worse for wear after 1 season due to a slight misalignment (the heads, not the rockers), lash caps have fixed that 100%.

And yes, what a crock, cheaper to buy in the USA than here in Australia where they are made!

You are correct. T&D and Jesel are used in professional hot rods. However, they are very expensive. I know you get what you pay for but, some of us are on a limited budget. If I were building a 1,000+ HP engine, then yes, these would be the way to go. But for 500 to 650 HP street/strip car, I think the PRW or Yella Terra's might do the trick.

Thanks for the suggestion. I bought one of their harmonic balancers a couple years ago - no issues. Looking into their shaft rockers now as I found several dealers that sell their products near my home.

Are the cleveland rockers and BBC the same casting?
Are they USA made or made in Chong ?
How much spring pressure can the shaft rockers handle ?

 

I've been using Yella Terra's with good results.Have broken a few of the older design adjusters,but the new design looks much better.Aren't the PRW rockers Chinese?
