I only use a momentary on button on left side of steering wheel, but looking at your car...guess that is NOT what you want!

McMaster Carr has ones similar to what I. I actually have a Mitsubishi one that came off of some control systems on a large diesel engine. It looks similar to the ones that are in the link, these are quality. They are rated at AC power, but the side of them will say 250V DC and such on them.

This is similar to the one I use.

If you run pneumatic nitrous solenoids, they make switches for that as well.

Most of the nitrous guys we know use the Omron switch that has an adjustable rotating arm with a roller tip. Bickel sells them as a clutch switch. 4 years so far with no issues.

Fergemoto, I recommend putting it on the carb as I recently had an experience where my linkage broke at the hit and when when she went to the floor the kits came on. Carbs were closed and not good. Back on the carbs for me with the WOT switch. We use the switch that come with the kits...

 

Thank you very much for sharing that. You talked me right out of that idea LOL. I will stick with having it on the carbs.

 

Any pictures of how you guys are mounting them on the carbs? mine's been on the pedal since the car was built, but i'm having second thoughts about that now.

I use a simlar L-shaped bracket on a carb stud to orient the switch so that the throttle linkage can activate it.

Go solid state, use a hall effect sensor. Vibration doesn't matter, no moving parts to wear out.
