Have you checked the DP across the IC? It is possible that the pressure is backing up causing it to blow off.

Weld a bead on the stainless. Also scuff the area that the silicone coupler sits. Good t-bolt clamps are also needed.


Aluminum with a bead would be lighter, but either stainless or aluminum can be made to work just fine.

you may have a mis allignment issue. maybe under power stuff is flexing ect. i ran mine with no beads just a straight cut at 40lbs boost no issues at all. only one time did i blow it off and that was a methanol backfire that mangled the tubing like a pretzel.

T bolt clamps and an inch of weld every 90deg's holds my 36psi, haven't popped a hose off once.

 

6" couplers gives 3" on each pipe, with two t-bolt clamps on each side. Works perfect.

 

Just go buy son Indian glue at az or adv. Its in a lil brown bottle. It has a swab on the end and wipe in on and that's it. It works great.

Can you weld tabs on the connection areas and put a connecting piece of flat stock connecting the two tabs together with bolts holding them in place? Day um that is a long sentence. Anyway, sort of like tabs on header tubes that connect to the collector...

 

Yes I'm using T-Bolts on everything.
