Interesting. I have a customer who had the same issues with Mast Black Label heads and switched to All Pros and now has no issues. That car went 7.20's@200 with a 106 G trim.

When you're pushing stuff hard, parts break.

I use his AP227 head on my engine. Bought the castings bare, had them ported for my use. We'll see how good the castings are. After about 800 runs dropped an intake valve, made a real mess. Shall see how the chamber repair goes. No issues with his stuff at-all so far. Another friend uses the smaller non-raised runner head, never any issues with them either.

I see a ton of All Pro heads with various peoples program's in them (Jones Weldtech, Don Ott etc) on the 410" open sprint cars that race at the speedway next to our drag strip. At a guess I would say an average 24 car field would be 75% All Pro. A friend of mine freshens up a couple of engines for one team and I have had a really good look at set of older (3 seasons) Jones Weldtech 283's and they were deluxe! The down nozzles are badass!
