This is our 65 Nova home built small tire Hot Rod. This was a rust bucket we found sitting next to a barn on a farm out in Nebraska. We brought her home and fixed every bit of rust, knocked out all the dents and blended in the paint to match the original patina as we found her. We bent up the custom roll cage (mild steel), mini tubbed it by cutting the factory tubs and adding 4”, pinched the stock frame rails down to a 1/4” in the wheel wells, made custom adjustable front spring pockets and installed rear sliders. She’s got Smith Racecraft Split Mono leafs, Smith Assassin bars, Smith Anti-Roll bar and Viking Crusader double adjustable shocks, Quick Performance 9” rear end. She will have a 6.0L LS with a single turbo and a powerglide transmission. Full interior, all steel all glass

Looking good! Do your homework on those front clips. There is lots of info out there (some of it right here on YB) about issues with the AJE, which should not surprise anyone. The knock I hear on the SRC piece is turning radius. Very short turning radius. They have made updates but the improvements are minimal. All of this is hearsay but simply googling both front clips may get you some helpful information. Some of the AJE is from our own Shane (RIP sir) right here on YB. In my 65 Chevy II build I also took cost into the equation, as well as the horrible quality of roads where I live. I went with the TCI custom IFS front suspension. It is based off of your standard mustang II stuff, but TCI reengineered their front spindles, and use their own control arm design to give a lot more front end travel with better geometry. I can tell you in my 65, their front clip works great on the street, and even better at the track. At 3400#, my '65 has gone 5.28 @ 131, with a 1.22 60' time. That's running an L33 5.3, with the tiny BTR stage 2 turbo cam, and an S485 turbo on 28#'s of boost. That's on a 275 radial pro. I also dealt with Eric Saffell at AFCO who set me up with a complete set of their BGX double adjustable radial valved shocks. I street drive the crap out of this car, and the AFCO's full loose ride great, and the TCI front clip has never missed a beat. I also run a Hutch 400, with a pro mod Gear Vendors. It really is a great all around combo, although the 4L80 technology has come a long ways since I built mine, and I would seriously look at one of those with a lockup converter from a reputable company if you truly want to street drive the car. My build thread is on here at "Just Getting Started"

One car I have always loved for sure! Looks like some nice cage work! Definitely looking forward to updates.

Well I you all might think I’m crazy but I bought a very nice stock front clip and will be installing a complete Church Boys Racing set up. Upper and lower tubular control arms, rack and pinion steering, Viking double adjustable coil overs, sway bar and a new steering column. I’ve done a lot of research and this seems to be the best, most stout way to go for a bulletproof drag and drive car. Tons of adjustability and more travel then a mustang II set up. I just got the front sheet metal, bumper and grill installed last week. She’s looking good
