I will admin I don't follow political, religious etc things either in the news (which I don't watch) or social media. I didn't know who Charlie Kirk was before he died.
I do however think that what happened is just one more nail in the coffin of a society that has collectively lost it's marbles. I fear for the futures of my children any my grandchildren. I think I am actually glad that i am closer to the way out than the way in to this world. This is not the world I grew up in and I blame a lot of it on social media and the instant gratification everyone needs now.

Charlie Kirk had INFLUENCE, something the OP doesn't understand.

 

Charlie was a man who earned a living, talking. A salesman so to speak. His product was himself. He didn't build things with his hands (think blue collar worker) nore did he sit behind a desk ( think white collar worker)

He was sorta like a carnival worker. Today's political environment would call him an influencer.

Since I don't emulate others, and walk my own path thru life without being influenced by others, (other than what society has deemed acceptable behavior) there is a higher percentage that your talking could get you hurt, or worse, killed.

Look at the many who have been killed voicing their opinion. These are people who had hundreds of thousands, millions of followers. The odds favor some will not like what your speaking. The odds also go up that you'll be hurt or killed from one of the haters.

For such a brilliant educated mind, he didn't have very good self awareness, or the self awareness was over shadowed by greed.

He made a lot of money talking.

There is a way to curve this type of violence. Tax payers are already paying for it, yet it's not being fully implemented at events like this.

OP - Charlie was a 31 year old married man, father of two tiny tots, that was executed in broad daylight while sitting stationary in a chair discussing his opinions and views with thousands of people that voluntarily went there on their own to have discussions with him and listen to him exercise his first amendment right.
\He did not force anybody to listen let alone force anybody to agree with him or believe him.

And then he was that same guy that was executed by a gay guy that was fucking another gay guy that wanted to be a woman, butt couldn't.

All because Charlies words and opinions upset the mentally fucking deranged asshole that shot him.

As to his question he needs to pay more attention. Charlie Kirk was what every citizen could or should be. He questioned, debated, educated and at times learned from others. He was obviously more than intelligent, some would say brilliant and if nothing else he should be remembered and admired for wanting to instill in young people a sense of honor, relevance and a desire to do more than just live in Mom & Dad's basement. At 80 yrs. old he needs to encourage younger people himself instead of being an angry old man.
