I’m tired of borrowing scales every time I make changes on the car. Started looking this morning on summit and Jegs and there is 50 different kinds! I’ve used the $1,500 longacre ones and they work great but do I need to spend that much? Proform has $700 ones. I am only concerned with front/ rear ratio, total weight and corner weights on a car near 3,000lbs. Educate me on the differences between the 50 kinds out there.

Well Speedway motors had there sale for tax return time and I just ordered the Proform ones for $829. back when I made the post most places were $970. Hope they work out. I'm skeptical about the quality but Toolodtom posted he likes them. Wish me luck lol.

These are the ones incase anyone else wants to grab them on sale.

Whichever you choose, make certain the floor you're on is perfectly level, or get adjustable stands for them. Even a 1/4 inch drop in the floor will wildly change your reading with a ridged car. I have a set of wireless intercomps. With my tube cars, I can slide a piece of thick cardboard under one scale and throw 30 to 40 pounds around.

Now on Amazon, there are many high-quality and accurate bathroom scale that you can purchase. And so I've seen models of scales that allow you to monitor your total weight and allow you to find out your percentage of body fat and water.
How many bathroom scales does it take to weigh your fat mama?

Borrowed my buddies scales awhile back, I pride myself on jackstand safety, using wheel chocks when needed, and not getting killed working in my own garage. Sooo, I jack up the front, put the scales under the front wheels, started to jack up the back and that fucker rolls off the scales in front. I took a jack handle to the nuts, put out my hands to stop the fucker as I'm being crushed up against my bandsaw, accidentally pulled the cable out of the chute, and took the pilot chute right in the face. Funniest shit nobody ever saw! :)

Bad day at bedrock^^^. I got on for ya. Back in the 80's i was doing a water pump and belt on a 4 banger Stang. told BIL, Hey Tone, Bump the key so i can recheck the timing marks. He is standing along the car. Tap,Tap. The car fires. and is high idle. Manual trans stuck in reverse.

Out the FCN door she goes. Takes out the overhead door. 12 Pane door. shoots across the lot.
Jumps 4 lanes of traffic and stopped at the light pole. I will never forget the looks on the customers faces that were pumping their gas. "There She Goes"
