It's got a TKO in it now, and they've been pretty liberal with details on here in the past. I don't doubt for a second it's a stock block.

 

There have been several threads about the gray mare, One of the guys are even on yb.its a 331 probably super lightweight rotating assy. And if I'm not mistaken the trans is a 3650 straight cut gears. It's does what it was built for very well!

 

He also was taking any bets on Stockblock too. But NO ONE put there money up.

 

lol stock dart block dont count. stock block would split it guts at that rpm. even with a main gurdle. crank would try to walk right out.

 

The thing that splits the 302 blocks is rotating mass. Use a super lightweight crank and some lightweight I beam rods or aluminum rods and you can spin the 302 much higher than a regular crank.

Yes it's a stock block 331, at first we had a gforce t5 in it, we have a liberty shifted tko600 in it now.

I didn't get to make it there but a few of the guys went, said it was a awesome event to go to, we're going to try and bring a car next year

We know the block is due to spilt, we cross our fingers every time we unload it to race that it still has oil pressure, and no is not a lite weight rotator, the car never gets drivin only from trailer to starting line and back in the trailer.

 

Hell we haven't even ran it under power all the way through 4th gear yet!

 

Haven't seen any new vids of it running.

 

Team Shelby wiped out many competitors on the SCCA road courses with stock block 289's in the Cobra's and GT 350's.....spinning them 8000+ for hours at a time.
GT 40's with the racing 289.....very high RPM's for 24 hour endurance.

I think what the Antelope Valley boys have found is the perfect HP level that the street can handle for that chassis and tire, the car just plain works, 90% of their races are won at the starting line when their shit hooks while the other guys are sitting there spinning, the street is the equalizer.

 

^^^ Finally, somebody posted it. This and HP/weight are the two most overlooked factors in all of street racing. Perception has the average doofus thinkin' the Gray Mare's packin' a Dart block'd 1000rwhp combo'. I like the car, hopefully it stays a stick-shift with the new combo'.

 

them boys do work..they have a killer team,good chassis and a healthy motor..they are proof when you make a good combo an it all clicks you can go damn fast and beat alot of shit with way more power..
