I can tell you from car shows and the like flat black will be a hit unless you are looking for show quality results then blue with white center stripe seems to be most common color out there.

What Jeb said... put it in black epoxy primer and use it as a selling point, I had one that got a little more sheen after every hand wash and looked great after a few months. Or find a buyer and get a deposit before paint.

I'm so fucking tired of the doors on those things! Second in horrible only to the 1958 Apache we're currently working on, I have a 1953 F100 we're starting on next and the doors close like the day they came out of Detroit.

Yes, it is a fleetside...I'm in KY...I'm new to these trucks, so what makes it a deluxe cab? It probably wont be for sale until its assembled.

Fuckin' orange because that was the most common color. At least I see a helluva lot more orange ones than any other color.

 

I’m not a big fan of the Patina stuff (unless it’s real) or the flat clear usually But I’ve seen a few colors that looked good to me like that. Copper colors look really good with flattened clear. The paint on my 40 looked so good before clear I almost went with a flattened clear on it but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I think it looks fantastic with a white contrast. Would look good with a bright white two tone. Paint Code PQD

A couple winters ago we were doing triple duty in my friends well equipped shop. I was rebuilding my Biscayne front end, Kim the owner was blocking his 65 ELCO and LIL Ray was getting his 65 C10 short bed ready for paint. He was doing it for his kid that totaled out another 65, this one was White with a Red insert, the new one was Dark Blue with a White stripe.
Cant go wrong with either color as both look good. I was trying to buy a Silver/Gray 65 with a red stripe long bed from a friend
before the wagon but couldn't seal the deal. Any close to stock color looks good. I don't think Orange came out before '69.

I had a 66 that was the tan with white cab top and white stripe. Looked great! Mine was a big back window long bed. Really miss that truck. Top 5 of "never should have sold" list. Can you post some pics? I think your best resell option would be epoxy primer black to be "paint ready" and can even up sell to buyer that you shoot color for more green. Just a thought. I still have some parts for those old trucks

I built a 68 C10 back in the day, it was originally this green, god awful Color.

That's very nearly the best possible color for that truck. Better yet is a 2-tone with white.

 

Everybody has different tastes, just because you like a color that looks like a cross between snot and piss does not mean that everybody does. What the fuck does being a Canadian have to do with that anyways?
I changed that horrible color into 1976 vette yellow, looked a hundred times better.
When was the last year that color was even offered by GM?

Here is my '68. This is the original factory color with one repaint 25 years ago.
All steel except the hood. Nothing original under the hood or back.

Traded a 32 chevy dual wheel truck for this 66 gmc from NC.Has the 305 v6 ,3 spd . I have a 454/400 auto to swap out the 6 when the time comes
