Without knowing a lot more about your combo, i'ts difficult to give a definitive answer. But if the c-16 is working fine, then you were using more octane than you needed.
Renegade makes several nitrous specific fuels, the Pro 120N can handle most of the nitrous applications.

 

I run NO2 in my 665" BBC with 14* heads and 2 foggers one 36n jet and one 32n jet. C-16 will go a long way and it's a great fuel.

 

I ran c-16 before I switched to No2, I did notice that I had to take out about 1-2 degrees of additional timing with c-16.

 

I'm not a fan of the NO2. I switched to C23 and without any other changes the car idled better and come up on the brake cleaner. I have 25g of renegade pro nitrous extreme to try now and it specs closely to C23.

That would have a lot to do with C23 having an RVP of 4.5ish, while NO2 is down around 1.5 from memory.

 

Thanks for the responses does anyone know what role the specific gravity plays and how important it is like I said c23 is the closest by the numbers but I've heard I don't spray enough for it to matter
