I had a Eaton trutrack in my car went 1.20 60’ and a best of 8.40 at 3200lbs no problems

 

How many passes did you make at that level?

 

Had one in my 4300lbs F150,low 10s. Soft leave on the foot brake though.

 

I think Boosted Bowtie has a Trutac on his S60 rearend and his truck is not light.

 

He has a DANA rear. A completely different animal then a 9" Ford third member.

 

I'm also running a Dana 60 with a trutrac but only in the street. I'm glad u feel this way, Randy..

The advantage of the Dana differential case in the situation is it is larger. That allows larger, more robust components for any "posi" design used.

OEM Dana housings and 3rd members are larger, stronger but heavier. An OEM 9" rear housing is lighter and has the advantage of a removable 3rd member for easy gear changes. The 9" housing and 3rd member can be made strong enough for just about any application but needs a spool for higher power applications.

 

I run an 9" with a Strange Strac in my 3500 lbs gbody. With the new set up it has gone 9.4 and 1.35 60'
