my team z k member had my dizzy smashed it the firewall. and stock and my aftermarket a arms didn't fit. dave was no help. I will either go with pa racing or if upr ever gets a gen 1 sbc swap k member out to sale.

It sux to see this type stuff where one small detail missed by a manufacture, shuts a whole process down for one guy if not many others. I've had my fair share and just recently went through it when some "bolt in" ls motor mounts for a 69 c10 basically required a total re-engineering, hardly bolt-in like advertised. The money they charge for some of these parts should translate into a smooth install with no major problems imho, but theres always something it seems...

Anyhow, to me, the problem here seems to be with the motor side part of the mount, like moving the ears inboard .250 might make all the difference in the world, but I have some questions first. Are they made by Team-Z and supplied with the K-Member? And are they marked drivers side and passenger side? Or are they mirror images? Can anybody get a few pics with them just laying flat on a table?

Just trying to help, I feel your pain.

I really feel like the engine sits up high as fuck regardless of motor mount design. I have an LS6 intake on it now (wanted to use truck but wouldnt clear stock hood by a mile. The low ass ls6 still will barely clear the hood, and my small ass turbo might end up hitting. I plan to keep my F body pan and swap to an AJE when I feel like spending money again

Most guys are finding out that the 4l60, 4l80 and the t56 trans don't fit if using the teamz k-member.....So they make new motor mounts to lower the motor, but if you lower the motor then the conversion headers won't clear the steering shaft.......i have used a few LS Aje k-members and trans cross members in foxes and never a problem..

That's why my mounts lowered the motor 1.5"-2" total but we built the headers to fit.

Has anyone actually measured the engine height difference between the AJE and Team Z? I thought it looked high as well, but read on one of the boards it was because the main hoop of the Team Z is about 1.5" lower than the AJE.
