All I have to say is wow .

I contacted cris stepp from Stainlessheaders manufacturing , about a header for my twin turbo Chevelle project and boy this has to be one of the best automotive decision I have made .

I wanted a 1-5/8th stainless 304 twin turbo header that would clear my accessorys and steering components as well as incorporate a double slip fit fabricated collector with 2.5"v band .

Expecting to pay north of $2,000+ ( as I have before ) for a quality header I was amazed when the build cost was $1150 .

Used to the expression u get what u pay for , these are way underpriced ! Hand welded hand fitted fully blended fabricated double slip fit collector American made and bent 304 stainless ?

:-Daw

So I sent a lot of pictures with measurements showing key clearance issuess and a few days later I get a picture emailed to me .. Wow talk about craftsmanship and customer service ..

And 2 weeks after the initial phone call and payment I get a email with pictures and a tracking number . Can u believe it ? ( I was expecting 2-3 months after payment cleared) A custom fabricated race part deliverd and shipped in the time promised ?

Trust me when say pictures don't do them justice . After talking to cris and letting him knw there would be he'll of a market for lsx turbo headers he said these could be duplicated with a formed collector for $850and reproduced as this for $1150 for the fabricated hand finished double slip fit.

They also offer custom headers for anything and everything that used a header . They send u a kit if billet elbows and u mock up with PVC tubeing and in a few weeks u get that product in mild steel stainless 304 or 321 !

This is his information and from now on this is the only place ill be buying anything headers related from , best pricing in the industry and some of the best customer service I have ever had !

They look great but just a bit of advice, make sure those headers clear something other than a stock LS valve cover or they will be totally worthless to high performance engine builders. Aftermarket rocker arms require taller value covers and those headers look like they come very close to those stock covers. Of course it's hard to tell from those pics so I could be totally wrong... Just pointing it out.

Looks to be plenty of clearance depending the size of the valve covers , but if more is needed they will build it to suit the needs of the buyer
And engine combo

That's a much better pic and it looks like there is plenty of room for taller covers.

Just the collectors ? Or the entire header with collector and vband ?

I belive ( but don't quote me call cris to verify )
The double slip merge 2.5" 304ss is $249 a piece and each vband is $70 a piece
( vbands are super high quality and the deep male / female maching ensure he'll of a seal )

Or the full header with double slips and vbands $1150
He'll of a deal

Full header with formed collector no vband $850

Damn, Seeing these I'm glad I haven't started sourcing the parts to build my own and I had planned. Those look like they will work fine for my project but like Dragzilla mentioned the only concern would be valve cover clearance. But the front view picture you provided looks like they may be plenty. Thanks for the headsup....

The car is on air ride (Ridetech) the suspension articulates in such a way when the system is fully deflated that anywhere other than in front and middle ill have either A-arm interference or wheel interference .

I can set them lower but would be directly Infront of the slanted radiator and in this position ill get cold air to them .

As far as the bend kit I don't knw . Call them and speak to Chris . I'm assuming they would take down ur credit card info and send the bend kit and only charge u if its not returned or till after the headers have been made .

If u look up on there website it's amazing the work the can reproduce off of a simple PVC mock up .

Those are great prices for a set of custom headers. I have seen a few that were servicing the Buick community charge more than that. I have even contacted header shops that cater to NASCAR and for a set of twin headers for a Buick V6, the price was in the $2700 - 3000 a set. Maybe they thought that I owned a bank or something.
