I want to build a bbc roots blown combo that can reasonbly make 2500fwhp . I would love to here some advice from guys doing it , i know a hemi will do 3000-3500 so surely 2500 is not too much of a stretch?
Parts i have are Dart block tall deck, AFR 385cc heads, Bullet pistons 4.560 with 20cc dome , 4 , 4.25 & 4.5 inch cranks . Can build a combo from 522 cube to 588. Littlefeild 1471 LB20, tunnel ram style intake,
Carbon fiber hat, 990 pump. All new parts.
I think a 522 with a 6.7 rod would be best combo but open to any suggestions , I do not have rods or camshaft yet. Is this blower enough? Thanks .

The blower can be,.....depends on its condiction. Forget focusing on a particulate rod length. Focus on the ring package placement and where the pin needs to go and that will dictate your rod length.

Did you ever move forward with this build?

That blower might make 2500 in the right air, but you will be pushing it. IMO, you will also be pushing a 4.560" bore. You will need some RPM to make 2500hp.

Roots blown Hemi's can make 3000hp because their valvetrain is a LOT stouter than a BBC, hence bigger RPM.

My BBC combo consists of a solid aluminum Arias/Century block, 14 degree Big Chief's, a bullet proof rotating combo, and a very good, worked over SSI billet 14-71. I don't know if I have the nerve to run it at 2500 very much. I should have just started out with a hemi.

Got one right here, ready to go that is 2500 capable all day. but it has spark plugs in the valve covers. LOL

A good start would be, solid block, billet heads, 4.375" bore, 4.000" stroke, 10.5 compression, GRP aluminum rods, Bryant crank, stainless ***** top ring, gapless second. R296/500 Crane cam, 14-71 high helix. MSD 44 mag.

Or see above.
