Hey guys, looking for all the power glide experts to help with some knowledge. I am rebuilding a power glide transmission for my old chevy truck and am having trouble with the front pump. One picture shows a front pump I pulled out that has heavy scoring around the pump gears. What would cause this? Improper end play or was the convertor to tight to the pump? Second picture is of a pump I am rebuilding. This pump does not have the ball valve as the original pump. What is the purpose of this valve and do I need it? The new pump is not machined to have enough room for this valve?
