Don't hold your breath it's probably Chinese. I've had good luck with oem Delco and Autozone usually stocks a made in USA Duralast that was actually a good pump with a lifetime warranty

 

I've had good luck with Gates water pumps. I daily drive my 67 SWB, and it's running a gates water pump I installed after my last deployment in 2013. 7 1/2 years and +/- 40K miles.

 

willing to bet the part you are removing is better than the part you are going to replace it with.

 

Its a gates swp,lol.The lwp number I snatched came off of my gen6 crate motor.I know mostly all acdelco stuff is farmed out to china now also.Its why I usually buy OPPs,lol.

 

I’m on my 3rd gates for my Toyota Camry 5sfe.They all leak out the weep hole. Timing belt driven. I installed 1000 factory ones at dealership. Buy my first aftermarket and for my own car. 3leakers in a row. Need to find receipt so I can install #4.

 

I always ask for accdelco professional. Don’t care if it costs more. I have trust in that line and have not been disappointed yet

 

The Amazon sourced Gates wp lasted less than 5,000 miles on my LS6 CTS-V. I don't think Gates is as good as it once was.

I had to replace the WP on my 454 truck, Auto Zone had a factory reman'd for $99, but a Weiand aluminum unit was only $103 from Summit, so I got that one instead.

 

I don't think it will matter which brand you use, they probably all have crap chinese bearings in them now, they may say made in usa but they are just assembled with chinese parts

 

Almost every factory part I get out of the parts dept is foreign made. Chances are real good that Delco pump was made in Mexico or China

 

Does Stewart not make one for this application?

 

I use Edelbrocks and looked up the current prices.
Damn, they are pricey.

Looked up Stewart pumps:

A Stewart Stage I does sound good at $113.

Stewart is a lot cheaper than Edelbrock now.
If I need a new one I might change back to Stewart.

 

I just got the waterpump dropped off by fedex a half hour ago,lol.WTF?

 

They were probably both made in the same Chinese factory.
