For any information on these - LPR Racing - 909 948 9583
Well after about 4 months of designing and trying different ways to make this work. We have finally come out with LPRacing's "Air Horns"
pat. pending
After running bullhorns on a few cars and feedback from some notable people, racers and tuners, we looked at the benefits and downfalls to bullhorns.
Now on a perfect track these may or may not be useful to the user, but it all depends on your car and your needs. But on marginal tracks, these can be a real benefit.
Depending on the way you choose to control them, electronically, they are almost unlimited. Instead of taking power out in certain instances the exhaust pressure can be used or taken away to hook the car better or tame it down.
Can be controlled by:
-time
-rpm
-wheelie control
-wheel speed
-boost
almost any possible way of control is possible....
The assemblies are available in 4"-4-1/2" and 5" aluminum. We are working on an adapter for steel at the moment and trying to make it the most economical way possible. They can either be welded or bolted on to the exhaust pipe. Assemblies are reversible for side to side use.
These are precision bearing assemblies and move free of friction no matter how much load is placed on them. They weigh less than a tradition v-band assembly and are completely self contained with no clamps.
Range is 0-67 degrees of rotation and speed of rise can be controlled by the size of orifice in the CO2 line.
