Its damn sure cheap enough. If the design of the turbine and compressor wheels is really good the sizes selected should be capable of 1800 - 2000hp on the right engine combo. An actual compressor and turbine map would tell you what they are really capable of making. Looking at wheel sizes never tells the whole story. LBS/MIN of air moved at what pressure ratio and efficiency is what you really need to see.

Idk if that will do big numbers tho, depends on the combo. Def will prefer small cube deals. That seems like they squeezed a s500 turbine wheel in a s400 frame. My friend used the s500-88 and had it upgraded to a 94 i think and it was basically pegged over 2:1 backpressure and done around 1400 whp range on a 414 lsx if I remember it right. I know it was in the 1300’s whp with high back pressure but a few psi short of what we seen at the track.

So that 92 may have decent flow to get up into the 1500 whp range but thats asking alot out of a s400 frame. Im not sure what the limits has been. The biggest true s400 i know is the FI 94 mm with the 104mm turbine. Its been pretty quick on single cars in the 1/8. 4.46 at 160

 

That is basically the same turbo vs racing sells it’s pretty much done at 1100hp

 

as said pulsar is china so basically vs racing with out the mark up

the fox body has the vs 92/110 on it doing 1100 on e85 an a sbe 5.3 deal

On a 5.3 or a 6.0 it maxes out at 1300?, what about a 572 bbc that makes 750 horsepower NA, 15 psi of boost should be 1500-1600 hp.🤷‍♂️

 

Thats not how it works. It likely would max out even sooner than the small cubes

As said, if thats the vs racing 92/110 its a poor flowing turbo. It doesnt make the numbers you would think

 

the vette an copo are 427 deals.. a 572 would be better with twin s475s.on a single youll be pushing the turbine being its only a 110 wheel on that pulsar. id find a used pt98-106 g trim(130mm exh wheel) because im sure your spinning that mid 6k as is now

 

Go twins they have plenty that will work. Im not aware of any knock off large frame stuff

 

yeah no large frame true clones only gt55s.. you can find a used large frame in your price range. twin billet wheel s475s t4s would get you in your hp ball park your wanting.. go in google type in twin s475s big block yellowbullet an threads will pop up on it..could even do twin s480s because im sure youll get boost addicted an want more.happens to everyone lol

 

How much power you guess this one be good for on a 572?

Turbo Model: S500, S500-110, 1.60A/R

 

1300 -1400 whp. We used the s500 before in 88 and 94 mm upgrades and thats about all it had on a 414 lsx. 572” will choke that turbine plus that turbo is very big and heavy for what it is.
Your only option is finding a precision 98-118 g trim or a garrett like mentioned. The newer smaller turbine seems to spool quicker and be fine with high flow like the older g trim stuff

 

Pulsar shows a knock off g57 106mm but it’s 3k$ I can’t justify spending that type of money on a knock off but there’s plenty of gt55 style turbos out there for a good price sewerpickle sells some

 

So if you want 2000 in a single , buy an older 106/114 /118 , whatever and have it checked out or rebuilt.

 

Thanks for the plug Ls3fox, I'm not too sure on the specs of that pulsar unit , but there's too many options available on that one turbo to make me a little skeptical. I have 4 different GT55 clones available, only difference being the compressor wheel size. My units may have less options but the quality control is there, I've got lots of these out there none have had any issues. My price is even close.

 

alilbaba has all them options, these are all out the same factories..sewerpickle you just have to order them like that from over seas contact.pulsar carries a crap ton done different ways because they are a huge dealer. last i looked they had the gt55 clones with 88,92 an dual ball bearing 80,85,92an 98mm with a 101 wheel.. the rear housing options have been the same since the 88 clones came about for t6 being 1.15,1.32 an 1.58

edit forgot to say you have the gtx55 china ones with a 88,94,102 an 106mm

 

It's not a big secret where this stuff comes from. I have nothing that the other guys don't already have. Not trying to be the next VS racing. Selling turbos has funded my personal car project that wouldn't be possibleotherwise, and I've met lots of good guys doing it, many of them have become friends.

 

oh i know..i was just saying how pulsars do theirs an why they have so many options an if you was wondering hit your contact up because you might get some options..but some on that s400 pulsar list gos away like if you try doing a 75mm,80 with the 101 you cant do an the 110 wheel can only be on the 88s an up.

i didnt know they had a gtx55 in 106mm till a day ago. for the 101 exh wheels i thought it was only 80,85,88,92 ..to me the 92mm seemed like the max anyone would want to go with a 101 exh wheel let alone a 98mm.but i could see them being used on a 6 banger. one thing i noticed with the gtx 88,94 an 106 was they have a 1.40a/r on them. but if you did a gt55 back (110) on the s400 you got the 88mm an the 92mm. vs has that 94/108..seems like they are constantly popping up with new combos..i wont even get into the f.i stuff..i think they limit the s400 chassis to like a 104mm wheel..anything larger uses the s500 line

How would this compare to a G57-2000?

 

If you want a 88mm that will make 2000hp you should buy a G57-2000 Garrett. The G57-3000 is a 106mm which will actually make 3000hp. The tech stealing Chinese fucks will have to anti-up if they want to actually copy a G57. Completely different turbine wheel and housing designs than anything else on the market. You can paint a turd gold but it's still a turd.
