Can any of you guys give me recommendations for a Mechanical Roller Cam and Cylinder Heads for a 632bbc? I would like to have a WILD street/track deal for my 72 Nova SS. Heres a quick rundown on the car..Smith Race Craft Complete chromoly front clip with Rack. Willwood Disc F.brakes. Double rear caliper Bear Deep stage rear brakes. Completely gutted. All sealer and undercoat gone. Glass hood. Weld wheels 275 drag radial. Lightened doors..still has all glass.Glass bumpers..lightened rad support, bumper brackets..blah blah lol. Its a stick now but I will go with a 400 and correct converter. I don't mind having it high compression also. Basically I only want to do this right the first time..and this will only be my second BBC Ive built. Also is it recommended to go with the .903 lifter bore? I would love to have 900ish HP. and 800 ish ftlbs around 6500-? Sorry this is a little long but im swallowing my pride and asking you experts on this one. Ive asked some questions before, but I will keep just this thread from now on. Oh yeah I would like to put a plate on it and spray it with a 200 shot. If you would like to pm me any of this please feel free to do so. Ive not bought any thing yet so if you have block ideas to I would love to hear it. Thanks a lot to you guys in advance. Jimmy.

your goals could be made with a set of Brodix HH or BB3's.

quite a few different head combo's would meet your goals.

You have a really nice project in mind. :supz:

The thing is, you either need to raise your HP TQ goals or you dont need that much engine to achieve the goals you have. :smt102

I am building a 496 BBC with RFD heads that Curtis guided me through the entire project. I will be in the ball park of your goals with a 496 BBC. :smt064

If you build an engine like mentioned earlier, you should break the 1,000 + HP mark with a set of RFD heads on it!!

If I had a clean slate I would get me some of them Ford Hemi heads from RFD, with no bolt holes and a blank hole block and have the first Chevy with a Ford head!! (joking I think)

Bolt thanks for responding. I have officially raised my goals! If I could have a 1000+ HP for my car I would be one of the most happiest human beings in the world...and I am not kidding one bit! I kept saying in the hospital all I want to do is finish my car!! I sold all of my motorcycles and snowmobiles....This is my life..its all I think about. All I do. Sounds corny...maybe even sad to some...but hey..that's how it is;) And btw..those Ford Hemi heads on a Chevrolet would be pretty wild man...no joke!! Cool Idea Bolt!! The Chevrolord:cool:

Sad thing is that I don't have E85 available to me...not any were close. Maybe an hour away. So pump gas and racing gasoline for me. Racing gas available at the pump and 5 gallon pails is just a 15 minute cruise for me. My car has a 16gal. fuel cell w/sender so I feel Im not doing to bad. May switch to a 20 gal.
