Master cylinder plumbing

Is there a legitimate reason why some guys tie the front and rear ports together on the master cylinder?

What is the proper way to plumb the brake system from the mater? Car has front skinnies and 275 Pros in the back. Brakes are TBM. The front calipers are the small ones and the rear are the normal size. Would I tie the rear port (Chrysler style) to the rear brakes for the volume?

Flexible line is kept to a minimum.

Another hints or tips ?

Ive wondered this myself. Might as well put a single reservoir on it at that point. One leak and all your fluid runs out or am I missing something??

I've also seen plenty and couldn't grasp the idea why???

I spoke with TBM and they recommended a 15/16 master with a 6:1 pedal ratio.

no way unless it had brakes off of a peterbuilt

just another monkey see monkey do wrong way to do something. They make the master cylinders dual for a reason.

Never seen the frt. and rear brake lines tied together, makes no sense.
The ports on a MC are basically the same unless you have a stepped bore master cylinder. With frt. disc and rear drum the larger reservoir end is plumbed to the frt. disc. Disc brakes are self adjusting by the piston moving further out of the bore as the pads wear. This has to be taken up with fluid which is why there is a larger reservoir.

I used to have a pic on my phone. I either erased it or it was an old phone because I can't find it. This was a big block turbo car with dual rear calipers. I didn't want tell the guy his business so i sent the pic to a mutual friend and he ask about it. Owner said manufacturer told him to do it. I don't recall which one.
