I have a double roller timing set that I'm putting back on my new engine. What's every ones opinions on the dampner?

I have used a ls3 damp with ls2 chain and had no issues. I am using a ls2 damp with a single rollmaster now with no issues. Don't see a need for a double on a hyd roller

Well I have the double roller from the last motor, few years old but less then 5-7k miles on it. After buying a new short block funds are tight. But if the damper was a worth while thing to have then I would consider one.

I use them now but my first LS1 still runs hard without, lots of years, lots of miles, lots of RPM, single LS2 chain, zero issues. Nice to have yes, needed? No.

Never used a double so cant say on that. FWIW L92/L99 tensioner I say pass on that one. Broke one at 8k miles

I run the double rollers as ive seen a couple single chains snap, seen one double roller have a issue that if it didn't have 2 chains the motor would of been toast.

been 7600 rpm shifts with a double roller and the chain had far less amount of stretch then what ive seen of singles
