Thanks Ed for coming in here and sharing his memory! Dave

There are a handful of people that know that Peter Klutt is a fucking lowlife piece of shit. He has screwed a number of people over the years and does not stand behind some of the cars he sells.
In the end...he is a "used car dealer" and is not afraid to employ their typical crooked bullshit.

Sure...he knows his shit. But integrity is not one of his strong suits.
He is the equivalent of Jeff Lutz...no matter how many times this fucking midget gimp is seen on TV, he will always be known as a fucking thief and scumbag to those "in the know".
It is my understanding that Blake, Cassells and Graydon, a Toronto-based corporate law firm has had "a number of dealings" with Legendary Motor Cars involving claims in excess of $1 million.
For anyone that is interested...feel free to contact their media agent and see if they will release the details of what went down...good luck.

It should not surprise any person to find out that a USED CAR DEALER may act without integrity.
SOME OF YOU GUYS ARE FUCKING IDIOTS and have no idea of what goes on in the business world...

It isn't all "above board"...not every car sold is "as described"...Occasionally, "less than perfect" cars are sold to unsuspecting/naive buyers...in the end...as stated, " A HANDFUL OF PEOPLE" know a different Peter Klutt who "fucked them" in their transactions.

DEAL WITH IT, YOU STUPID FUCKS.

How many of you think that Jeff Lutz is a great guy because he is on a TV show? ...fucking morons. "I have a degree from Trump University...and you don't".

Yawn.

Still waiting to hear some actual, you know, legit - facts.

You seem real pissed off bud - have a bottle of wine and chill.

This is known as "the talking out of your ass, and trying to sound like you actually know stuff when you got called out for bullshitting" strategy.

But I'm sure your broad generalizations are true, as I said earlier. Anyone who's in this business for any period of time has folks who end up being unhappy. Nature of the business.

Now step forward with some actual first hand knowledge and facts, or fuck right the fuck off.

Anyone remember the original dream car garage show opening credits which used to show what looked like a minitub 2 door k car with pro stars on it ? I remember catching the episode one time but can't remember what the drivetrain consisted of etc .

That's a guy who worked at the shop I believe. IIRC it has a 440/A727 combo.

Go fuck your mother, you fucking cockroach.
Go eat another hamburger, you fat fuck.

So you said: "Peter Klutt is a fucking lowlife piece of shit" and continued on that he was a crook, etc..

Strong words and accusations, followed up by absolutely no proof or even a story.

Have you ever dealt with them personally?

I have to go eat another hamburger now. Thanks.

Clearly the guy doesn't watch the show or he would already know that the Boss he sold them was not complete.
Of course he at least saw the show he was on, even if he doesn't watch the show regularly. Some family member or friend had to hook him up to see it even if he doesn't have cable TV. Who would allow a camera and production crew on their property and to film them, and never want to see the footage. That being said, the kid taking the high road was simply to look good on TV, because he knows he and his father made it perfectly clear already,...on the show about the Mustang, that there were parts missing.

I remember seeing that car around back then but haven't seen it in years. Don't know if it is still around. Big block dodge in it.

I had met Tom back when they were still filming DCG.
Me and some friends stopped by LMC to check it out. They were doing some filming so a lot of the place was off limits. Tom walked by on his way to film and stopped to talk with us for a few minutes. Class act for sure.
Singer / rapper Kazzer was also on the original show. His dad was well known in the racing community around here. He passed away not long ago.

I have heard good and bad about Peter. Most of the bad are from jealous people and people who thought they were going to get their car restored for 5k.

Peter really doesn't know that much. I've met and dealt with him. Just a used car dealer says it very well. He does have some good people in the shop.

Ok, I have meet Peter on a couple of occasions thru a friend (Ted) of mine who has actually had 2 cars restoered at Peter's shop. Ted has actually traveled to shows with Peter in the interest of buying other cars. So here's some more info for you guys.

Peter is VERY knowledgeable about these cars, and what I was told years ago, if the car was not what it was repersented, Peter had bought them back. NOW that's not saying that people might not be as impressed with there car/work through Peter, but could also be some difference of opinion or higher expectations, that might be what "gibthekid" might be saying. I have know insight to this.

BUT even long before Dream Car, Peter had The Shelby Shop that just Shelby's. More then a couple Cobra's went through TSS and some were the 427SC's. That's where Ted has his 2 cars restored, 2nd being a GT500KR convert. Both cars went over seas afterwards. I know Ted heads up to Lengendary a couple times a year just to drop in and see what's happening.

This is my information as well...a handful of people who dealt with Peter "got fucked"...in the original deals, the "buybacks" and in the legal actions...Part of the settlements involved gag orders that forbade the plaintiffs from publicly disclosing ANY details of their dealings with LMC...which was a good move on LMC's part, to protect their "good reputation".

In any case...he didn't rip me off...so I really don't have a dog in this fight.
But...good to know that a few people can entertain the idea that Lord Jesus Peter Klutt is/was a crooked motherfucker and HAS fucked a few people over...
So...in my mind Jeff Lutz and Peter Klutt are "brothers".

Probably the best thing to do here is for someone to contact Peter Klutt so he can look into your statements about sub par workmanship and legal actions of his customers getting fucked. The only issue you should probably have at least 100K on deck to cover your legal costs if and when your statements turn out to be false. Here is Peter Klutts contact info just in case anyone wants to forward your posts to him ;)

Anyone catch the new episode of LMC last night? I know we've discussed it before but what a well-done, informative GREAT car show. Gary was dealing with an older gentleman that they purchased a Boss 429 from in a previous episode. The guy was VERY hard to deal with before and was trying to sell him another car. The guy then brought up how the Boss was complete (which is was not and turned out to be a pain to restore partially due to the missing parts) but Gary chose to take the high road and just smiled at the guy and said something polite and respectful.

My gosh ... what a breath of fresh air. No drama. No whining or complaining or trying to do things to make it more interesting. SO, GMG, ... could learn something from this show. These two know cars and the show is fun and entertaining to watch.

Keep up the good work! When I win the lottery one day this is my first stop!

There isn't a business or person that has ever existed that doesn't have detractors as you can never make everyone happy as we all know. With that being said my family had some dealings with Peter when he operated as the Shelby Shop in Mississauga for our Mustang Fastback build back in the late 80's when sourcing parts was all done by phone, magazines and Yellow Pages. I recall being in love with a GT500KR Convertible that was there when we stopped by one day.
A friends dad had many dealings with him through the buying and selling of all types of cars during the 90's including a Cougar Eliminator 428CJ which he still owns to this day. Were all the dealings with him seamless? No, but when buying and selling there is going to be wins and losses. I can't speak to these other claims and I can see how some may be true in the earlier years of business as almost all experience a hiccup or two as they grow. For me he is doing something right to have the facility and the reputation he has within the industry. You can't please them all...
