Uh,ok. IMSA TV ratings and event attendance versus Nascar TV ratings and event attendance. Current IMSA TV deal and future deal discussions, versus current Nascar TV deal and future deal discussions. Feel free to look up the numbers and tell us how Nascar is the skeleton resting on an ocean floor...
The meme is about how the Prototypes got basically all the TV coverage in the 24hr, the GT cars barely got any TV coverage and the Cup car got nonexistent TV coverage, rocket surgeon...

I watched/listened/napped to just the cup car for 12 hours, dunno what channel you were watching.
Hate I missed that! I watched Motortrend and all they showed or talked about for 23hrs was the Hypercar class! Lol 🤦‍♂️

This really is a big deal what Hendrick has done on the world stage of motorsports. He put up his own money (lot's of money) to get this project to fruition. Along with Goodyear and Chevrolet.
Assembled Americas motor builders, chassis builders, aero guys, techs and the best minds in Nascar. World class drivers and crew.

Built a big fat Camaro that was faster than the worlds best Porsche 911's, Ferrari 833, Aston Martins coupe, etc, etc,,,,and the best Corvette road race team in existence.

The "team" did all of this with no previous experience in European sports car racing. Let alone for a 24 hr worlds most famous 100 year old Le Mans race.... the Camaro raced for over 2,700 miles...nearly 200 mph on the straight aways.
They finished the race...showing the world what an American built cup car could do on the big stage.

Pretty awesome accomplishment.

lmao that pos couldnt even win the race ford for the win beat them ferraris eons ago
You need to do some research. There's no logical comparison between the two, because they're very different cars.

The new Nascar Camaro is a small block 350, and the GT40 was a 427 big block. The Camaro is a full size car , and the GT40 was purpose built, lighter, and much smaller profile car.
The Camaro was intentionally built to mimic a full size cup car....the GT40 was a sports car size to mimic the Ferrias of that day.

In any event it doesn't matter. What the GT40 did back then and what the new NASCAR Camaro did now are tremendous automotive accomplishments of their respective days.

Ford also took the Wally home in 2016 with a totally different platform. The GT’s finished 1st 2nd and 4th with a lowly V-6.
