It'll run without the IAC fine. You might notice a little rough running when cold, or if you have A/C and it kicks on but there's ways around that and it's not a big deal. I've got a Holley Hp system on a retro fitted stack injection manifold and it starts and runs just fine, hot or cold. It doesn't matter. Be sure you plug the hole!

 

Car doesn't have Ac and it has a 105mm tb . I'm going to use a ktech iac plug .

How well would it idle while street driving it ?

 

If it's tuned well, it will idle well.

Push come to shove, you could go DBW and that will cover all scenarios. 105mm is a huge TB though, that's easy 2500hp territory I'd think.

 

Fine. The IAC is mainly for cold starts. It has a small role after it's warmed up but you can tune around it.

 

Don't they make remote IAC's, if you wanted to keep it

 

Would I still be able to run the same ecu I currently have for the cable throttle body ?

It's a universal ecu, so no reason why not.

And almost any idle valve can be made remove if installed in a suitable housing or adapted.

 

The Holley Dominator can run a DBW system, the Holley Hp cannot. Google "remote IAC" and see what you come up with. It'll make more sense. Remote would be better than none IMO, but as stated earlier, either will work.

 

It will idle fine without the IAC. I have used a remote mount sourced from Kinsler in the past when needed.

I like having mine there for cold start drivability. Other than that, I could easily live without it.

 

Most of these cars are huge V8's, there should be no difficulty making them idle from cold without an idle valve.

Of course there is also no difficulty fitting any number of idle air valves available either.

Just do it.
