They are all insane nice quality. Ive had the shearer and 417 in my hands before. Both are super nice. The tick ones look just as good. Check them out on Instagram also. They’re always posting intercooler fabrication stuff.

I think they are extremely overpriced, go buy a Mishimoto core from eBay and take it to a tig welder, I paid a couple hundred for the core and a local welder 2 hours of labor, total cost was about 75% of the cost.

I precut the aluminum on a band saw and pressure tested it which checked out fine...my welder gave me assurances if it had any leaks he would touch it up for free, fortunately it held 50 psi for over a hour which was good enough for me.

Go watch 6061 on YouTube for how to work with aluminum, good stuff there.

More like underpriced, try and buy something for a Buick stage 2 V6, then you will understand overpriced. Something like this would be an easy 5k or more. Mishimoto sells crap parts, I have purchased a couple of their parts for my M3 and it looks like their engineers are high school kids.

If its a street/strip deal they are fine for the most part. They have no place on a max effort race engine. If you will go back and search the archives there are some very informative threads where they didn't perform as advertised/rated when one of our members put full instrumentation on one from 417 Motorsports. The owner at 417 finally quit taking his calls and it got a bit ugly from what I remember. Shearer is a good dude and I know he uses a different core setup in his large capacity models. I would call him direct and get it from the horse's mouth. The Tick unit may be great but I don't know of anyone running one on here or in my area. Good luck and be sure to let us know your results.

there were some good posts on some detailed testing of IAT drop and flow restriction and actual engine test results.

Not so hot, in fact way TOO HOT and there are many other options that flow better, cool better, and cost less.

This is a beaut of a product and cool for packaging and strip only where you can keep everything cool

didn't work too well after heat soaking from the intake and engine heat.

The new Low Ram is a good option. It has more plenum volume, redesigned angled runner entries and a higher flowing lid design that has more area in the throat where the original design had a choke point. Also the new design has all the perimeter bolts going from the top down other than the couple at the front below the inlet.

Yes,that low ram is a nice manifold, ICT billet do a 1" thick spacer that lifts the lid up higher- allowing the incoming airflow to make the turn into the front cylinders a bit easier. And increase plenum volume even more. It's on my list for my new Dart LS combo.
