Is there any such thing today? And no I’m not interested in a 5 piece snap on set for 699.00.

Some screw drivers are better than others. Stuff like a wrench collar, magnetic tip, and being strikable, sure can make a difference.

With todays technology, the BEST course would be to board a time machine, travel back in time to the invention of the screw head, and pummel the life out of the inventor. Screw heads suck......

I have at least 80 of the free Harbor Freight screwdrivers, and probably 30 wood handled ones that came over on the Mayflower.

I think that says a lot about me... And none of it good.

I picked up some nice screwdriver shafts about 5 years ago and still haven't gotten around to making handles for them. Evidently I didn't dislike my hardware store drivers as much as I thought I did.

PB Swiss are the best

I use Wera at work everyday because they are good, yet cheap enough so that when my idiot co-workers borrow one and use it as a prybar or chisel, I don't need to kill them.

I really dislike the Snap on screwdrivers I bought 20+ years ago

Snap On is over priced, over rated. I used to buy a lot of snap on only because I had a great dealer, not because I think their tools are the best. But on screwdrivers, snap on rates near the bottom for me. They wear quickly and I've broken more of them than I can count. The screwdrivers Matco and Cornwell sell are made by a German company called Witte. They are the best I've ever used, period. The tips don't wear like snap on and they are very strong in case you "accidently" use them incorrectly.....

KLIEN in my electricIan’s bag because that is what I have always used in the trade for the last 50 years...... They hate grease because of the rubber grips and I want to keep them clean and grease free.

WIHA and WERA in my tool chest for mechanics work because of the variety and quality...... Buy a started set and you won’t be sorry.

BTW! Hate to say it but Snap On screw drivers are over priced crap nowadays.

G'day, In the last 40 years I have used nothing but Snap On. I still have my old black handled ones that I bought used 40 years ago. So black handles matter. In this time period I have had one warrantied. Yes, one.

I do have a set of Snap On that I was awarded by Chevrolet and they are labeled as such (CCT) and they have held up well. I also have four sets that I have not opened. They are all Dale Earnhardt specialty sets. These were Ebay finds that sold for pennies on the dollar. So if you want Snap On screwdrivers Ebay can be your friend. I have bought a set of 5 for $50.

Same issue with pick sets. The damn things either bend outta shape or snap off!
I've had three different high dollar sets in the last year that failed in a few months of use.
Need a good set for snap ring removal and other small part work on transmissions.
