Anyone have experience with them? Or even ATM?

Car is 3100 lbs streetcar with 800+Hp. Just a pump gas deal.

Was looking at the Get'M 1200 twin blade or one of the ATM 1050's? Buddy is pushing for a Pro Systems 4150 and there 1040. I thought maybe a SV1???

Thoughts on Get'M's?

Which "Get'm"?

Get'm Garage LLC last sold a carburetor sometime in 2019. The twin blade main body, upper fuel jets and 2-piece fuel bowls are patented. Get'm Performance Products in Kentucky sells twin blade carburetors with upper fuel jets and 2-piece bowls with no patent license.

Under 35 U.S.C. 271 - Infringement of patent:

"(a) Except as otherwise provided in this title, whoever without authority makes, uses, offers to sell, or sells any patented invention, within the United States or imports into the United States any patented invention during the term of the patent therefor, infringes the patent.

(b) Whoever actively induces infringement of a patent shall be liable as an infringer..."

U.S.C. Title 35 - PATENTS

Lawyers are involved.

Thanks Mike. By the sounds of that, I will not Get'M. So there out....

So down to ATM, TCM and Jmark as the front runners.

Book Braswell CFM Bo Laws etc are so far above my needs for a pump gas daily driver build. Looking at something just a step up from stockish Holleys. My current pump gas 475 is using all of the avalible air flow of my RS Gold Claw.

Am I confident a Pro System 1040 4150 will support my needs? 60 40 split. We do have a pump gas 509 that makes in the 740Hp range, run very well with the 1040 Pro Systems.

JMark was the one I read that recommended ATM over other like PS and FST.

I have always found Mark to be very helpful.

The Get'Em products seem to be very unique and well designed. I bought some of the metering blocks through Mark in late 2018, still haven't had a chance to use them though.

jmarkaudio on the internet. He has helped me several times. After that, I would look at APD. As far as the BLP relationship. both are in Orlando, Mark was close to the people at BLP. He even had one the engineers boat stored at his place. After Mike Laws came back to BLP, Mark kinda went his own way, but still likes BLP parts as do most of the custom carb builders in the country. The billet 2 blade thing is partially getting more popular because it is harder to purchase main bodies from Holley now. No real performance benefit until you go to dominator. JMO. Corrections welcome.

JMark has been the only builder of a carb that I have used that actually did what he said it would do. I had the one hole SV1 and to spare you about 6 paragraphs of how it never worked I will keep that out of the OP's thread. I traded the one hole carb for a Braswell Dominator that was sent to Book. It never worked right. I got it to JMark and he did his stuff to it and it has been pretty much dead on every since.

Mark, Tony, Karsten and others shown here will do a fine job. I always recommend (licensed) twin blades because of my own experience with 4-bbl's vs TB's and the overall performance advantages. It takes a little different mindset to properly calibrate a TB than a 4-bbl due to the air flow and the carb-builders that have figured this out are doing very well. For those interested, here are some helpful links.

Another vote for Mark Whitener (jmarkaudio). I purchased a 1200 TB for my pump gas 565 over a year ago. Mark actually tried talking me out of purchasing one as he felt it would only be worth about 10 to 15 HP vs my well tuned Holley HP 1000. In back to back testing, the TB was consistently worth 12 to 13 HP over the HP1000 (800 to 812 HP) on a SuperFlo engine dyno.

The throttle response and street manners are great. And Mark provides excellent follow-up support.

I spend some time in the Get Em booth today at PRI. As far as aesthetics and workmanship, I can say they are impressive. Some nice features like 2 piece bowls and boosters that can be changed without a press. Easily changeable from gas to alcohol. All billet parts. All black anodized parts. Completely made in Bowlingreen, KY. Was told best improvements are better repeatability and better response. Cost is up there but so is inflation.

I knew one of the guys working the booth, not Travis. When I ask him directly about the couple different names I had seen for those carbs Like Get Em and Get Em Garage and legal issues around the design, he kinda did not want to answer directly. He did say that was all resolved and there is only one name now.

Mark:
The owner of Get'm Performance attempted to acquire my patents by lawsuit in 2018. 2 different Orange County, Florida judges, in 2 separate hearings ruled correctly that the patents are mine. A senior judge ruled in the June, 2019 hearing: "1. The Plaintiff's (Wiggins) Motion for Contempt against the Defendant for Failure to Act in the Best Interest of Get'm Garage is DENIED. The Defendant (Laws) owns the subject patents and is free to use/license/utilize them as he wishes."

Get'm Performance was opened shortly after this ruling.

Nothing else has been resolved in this matter.

Ed: Yes, clearly and willfully. Many think (wrongly) that patent infringement is only between the patent owner and the company selling the knock-off parts. This is untrue.

Under Federal Code 35 U.S.C. 271:

(a) Except as otherwise provided in this title, whoever without authority makes, uses, offers to sell, or sells any patented invention, within the United States or imports into the United States any patented invention during the term of the patent therefor, infringes the patent...

U.S.C. Title 35 - PATENTS

The gov't wrote it this way so whenever a company that is selling patented parts, refuses to enter a licensing agreement - the patent owner has options. One option is for the patent owner to go after anyone who is using the patented invention without license. So the company refusing to enter a license agreement is knowingly putting his customers (in this case, the racers who are using the products) at risk for patent infringement. Patent infringement is heard in federal court. I've contacted racers and some have been understanding and accommodating, others have not... We all have choices.

Partnered with this guy on Get'm Garage LLC (Florida company) in late 2017 with good intentions for families and employees, including Tony Morris, Scott Rose and later, Scooter Vester. I designed & tested all of these parts before knowing him. Patents were filed & paid for before knowing him and before Get'm Garage was considered. All are my design.

Upon realization of the full potential of these carbs through testing with several companies, he filed suit in attempt to gain the patents. After both judge's ruled the patents are mine, he immediately opened Get'm Performance Products in Kentucky, filed for and received an assumed name of Get'm Garage and knocked off the patented and unpatented parts. None are his design.

The Titan metering blocks were co-designed by myself and Terry Phelps of PMRD before Get'm Garage was formed. Terry Phelps was the original manager of the carburetor department for BLP in the 1980's. Terry, a man of integrity and I have successfully worked on several projects for over 30 years without drama. The metering blocks are not patented, just knocked-off by Get'm Performance. Upon the senior judge's ruling on my patents in 2019, Terry immediately approached me about a patent licensing agreement on these carbs and parts. This license remains in place. Several reputable carb-building companies purchase licensed products and Titan metering blocks from PMRD. Tony Morris (TMC carburetors) is an agent for PMRD.

This same guy also filed a lawsuit against Holley in 2016 or so and lost. Filed an appeal in 2019 or so and lost.
