I find it hilarious when anyone spews their particular chosen talking point on which food or ingredient or whatever is the one to blame whatever problem on. Salt, sugar, carbs, gluten, lactose, etc.. and all these bullshit diets, and all the doctors and scientists and idiots who say one thing one week and the exact opposite the next. Then there’s the FDA, pushing a food pyramid largely constructed by lobbyists, etc etc..

Here’s something to try: Whatever you eat, eat it in MODERATION. Try it just once, you might be amazed! It doesn’t matter what you eat if you eat too much of it. You can be on any diet you want, but if you eat more calories than you burn off, you WILL gain weight, period. If you eat fewer calories than you burn, you WILL lose weight. Understand how this works? It’s remarkably simple.

Now, eating nothing but Twinkies and drinking nothing but eggnog isn’t healthy for sure, but if you consume them in moderation based on calories in/out, you won’t gain weight. But of course nobody does that. They grab the box of Twinkies and go to town, then eat their second dinner afterward, followed by their before-bed snack. And then they go on twitter and complain about processed food.

This shit ain’t complicated, even though most people try to make it complicated. You don’t need to get stupid, just use some common sense. It ain’t rocket science. But it does require will power, and most people just don’t have it. No willpower + cheap and readily available food of all kinds means FAT.
True, but it gets deeper. How many non fat people are "healthy"? How many people can even run a mile, do 50 push ups, etc? Thats the other half of the equation too. Dieting n fitness!

People are just lazy and uneducated. They want their food NOW and not have to cook it.

I know I did.
Once you break the cycle of "food addiction" you'll realize it was the type of food that caused the original problem.

Fitness is a progression! [there needs to be a starting point]
There is psychological "self worth" barrier that needs to be addressed.

Most obese people cannot for the life of themselves ever imagine being thin and fit.[ it is too far out of reach]
So their self worth actually is a form of depression.
They then "comfort eat" and guess what? The Dopamine spike from food becomes their only form of gratification.

Have you ever noticed the aggressive "I don't care" attitude of unhealthy people [or pushiness ,loudness, angry etc]
This is actually a psychological defense mechanism covering up inner turmoil.
Whereas thin good looking people have more confidence and are more graceful and accepting.[these comments could also apply to politics]

For an .person to get into shape they need to cover all bases [Food, Fitness, and Gratification] it is a very tough challenge. [and those that are successful are less than 10%, meaning 90% fail]

On a Carnivore cruise , I really noticed the pushy delusional arrogant attitude of people.
Their idea of "living the high life" was treating the staff like shit. [this is a hen-pecking order that temporarily lifts them up]
Occasionally one of them would show up in the Gym [trying to redeem themselves] and waste time hogging equipment , but they also paid for this privilege
I sometimes would chat with them, give them a bit of guidance etc [understand a gym is "uncharted territory" for them and they approach it with apprehension]
But the cruise ship gym is a safe environment for them [compared to a commercial gym],so hopefully it eventually makes a difference.

Look, I'm fucking lucky to be alive right now, I'm not blowing this second chance at life. Once I get current meds lined out and gout under control, I'll eat more red meat. Myself, my goal is the look like ProStockJohn in shape, I know it will take lots of work, but all I have is time right now.

I couldn't look at myself in the mirror, I'd look through me. Shame, regret? I'm not sure, but it was there.
