I have the 84 and it's a beast. I have the same goal of 8.50 and that's what Jose suggested for me. I know it will go a bunch faster, look at blown385's truck, been 8.90 at 4500+ lbs

 

Box stock, cast wheel S480 will do what you need. The 84 mm will give some room to grow

 

I was looking at the stock S480 but I want a billet wheel. I mentioned the Billet 76 cause it looks like it would spool well but don't have any experience with it and hear the S484 was a badass turbo also. Would the 1.32 ar S484 be to big for a 6.0?

 

84 1.32 T6 will spool great on a 6.0. I wouldn't bother with the smaller 76 unless a class requirement or choke the exgine with a T4 ex housing

 

We've seen 8.4 @3650lbs w the 76/87 in T6 form. 76 is probably all you need. You may want a slightly larger turbine for yours

 

I would go with the 96mm turbine myself, but with that being said there have been a lot of people that have also made big power and ran very fast times with the smaller 92mm turbine

If you wouldn't be opposed to brand alternatives you could consider the 8284 from our line of CEA turbochargers.

The unit should be able to meet your goals on a combination like yours and has a standard offering of a 2618-aluminum forged CEA compressor wheel. The 8284 has a 92.71mm turbine wheel. I feel like going with a 76mm combo on your setup will leave power on the table and not give you significant gains with spool characteristics.

I have tuned a few street driven(~3300lbs) Mustangs SBF ~347ci on 76x96 turbos that have been 8.2-.3 near 170mph on less then 20psi..

 

If you are not class racing why wouldn't you go bigger?

 

No class racing so it looks like the S484 will be my turbo.
