Jesusballs, I sure hope FarmTruck is a member on here, this thread is epic. The only two passes (on the show anyway) that are worth analyzing are the ones against the Crowmod and Lutz's car, plus the post-Monte Smith pass. Too many other passes where the truck's outta' shape early, then corrects and comes on strong at the end. Regarding weight, remember that the front cradle (among other parts) is a fab'd piece from Hotrods to Hell, not the heavy-as-fuck, OEM stocker. Here's the ad' copy from their page:

"Designed and built in house. This front end covers 63-87, this unit weighs 210 lbs as shown, with 12.88 X1.1 GT rotors radial mount 6 piston Superlite calipers factory C10 spindles, 9" stroke double adjustable shocks, 6" wheel travel ZERO bumb steer. 5 on 5 billet hubs, Howe adjustable ball joints and tie rod ends, 0 drag, bearing upper and lower pivots. prices start at 4200.00 call for more info 530 3656561"

The bold was added to remind folks to compare the weight of their complete, OEM cradle, brakes, steering pieces, shocks, etc., as a unit.

Currently the Farmtruck has the Hot Rods to Hell front clip and still has truck arm rear suspension, although it's pretty tricked out too. Nice shocks, etc. It IS heavy and weighs a good bit over 4000lbs.

The motor is a conv head 632 with two foggers on it. Made over 1000 on motor and has two fairly small jets in the kits. The trans gave them lots of problems in the past but now has a Rossler 400.

For guys who think the truck can't get out of the 6s..............all I will say is that you are BAD wrong...........LOL!!!!

As for the other cars.......Between Chief, Monza, Shawn, Doc and Reaper...........when they make clean passes, that group is very quick and on a given night, any of them can beat the other. What Chief and Shawn have been on drag radials on a prepped track has no bearing on how they run on big tires in a no prep situation. All these cars have way more power than those conditions can hold and NONE can make full, all out passes on ANY road

Im at 4500lbs and run 5.70 in the 1/8 , 8.90 in the 1/4 . Just went 156mph over the weekend .

23 degree SBC 385ci .......... with a little boost . It makes about 500 on motor . :(

That looks like a big ass tire on Farmtruck ........... Im on a 10.5

Think I can run with that big block ?

You have to be making some good HP, because I have a buddy with a 3600 lb car, 406 procharger, 1150 rwhp, that runs 8.40's. That's almost a thousand pounds lighter than you. ;)

Over 4k. LMMFAO That aluminum cap doesn't weigh 400+ lbs. Factory weight, with every option, didn't tilt over 3600 off the production line. Weight removed, updated suspension, 3300 give or take. I'll put a hundo that truck has been a 8.6x. I'd also bet it hasn't been 8.4x.
