We dont have it available to us in Canada. If I were to buy a 55 gallon drum, how long could I safely expect it to live?

You'll probably get more replies in the fuel section.
Anyway, I've successfully stored E-85 with Lucas stabilizer over the winter three years running. Each time I ran it in the spring until I could get summer blend and had no ill effect.

I talked to a fuel supplier and ask the same thing he said it would be fine over the winter may just want to put something under the barrel so its not sitting directly on the floor let the air circulate around the bottom. So im giving it a try Ill let you know in the spring. Ha ha hope this helps.

It does Chris, thanks. I have a friend (Kevin - 1986Iroc on YB) who saw substantial gains switching his race tune from C16 to E85, and obviously substantial cost savings too, so I want to look further into this, but the unavailability of E85 over here is a hurdle. Thanks again

Good deal. If you can get it for sure can save some cash I get it out of the pump for about $1.50 right now I think. As long as Kum and Go doesnt quit selling it Im in good shape. I posted a question in the fuel section a while back about going to a blend with some higher octane everyone said it would be a waste so ive got a 55 gallon drum that I haul to the store and fill up. My barrel has a 15 gpm pump so it makes it pretty easy to fill the car. Good luck, Rob.
