Whats the difference? We are thinkin of makin the switch from 110LL to alky or E-85, would rather run E-85 since its still a street car. As far as I knew of, there isnt much difference but I've been wrong once before... ;)

Found a nikka with a real nice alky 1050 4500 but would want to change it to E-85, yall think it would be too much carb for a 12.5:1 406?

Thanks in advance cunts!

Alcohol is alcohol. E85 is ethanol and gas mixed. We converted my son's car to e85 last year.it was a pain in the ass. The problem with carbed e85 setups is evaporation. The e85 sits in the inground tanks and the ethanol starts evaporating. Then it sits in the car for a few weeks and evaporates even more. The ethanol always evaporates faster than the gas. So now you are tuned for e85 but end up with e60 and now the car is pig rich. Also take into consideration that e85 is only the max. The store can legally sell e25 as e85.

Obviously fuel injected cars are easier to work with if they are self learning.
Another thing to consider is fuel line sizes and fuel pump compatibility.

Thanks, we might as well just run methanol cause we always have it from the sprint car.

Is it evaporating or taking on moisture?... open vents and higher humidity will act upon eth and meth, stuff is like a sponge.

I get my e85 by the drum and keep it sealed well. Costs a little more (still less than half the cost of race "gas") but it's consistent
