Im needing to cut my rear fender lips for some tire clearance,Does anybody have any pictures of what they did???? prob cut from 10-2:00

Its been rolled, but with new wider rims I need to cut/trim them, Car is already painted. Dont think the bat will push/bend it out enough. Im thinking if I go to far the inner well will separate from the outer and turn into a ordeal. Like most Chevelles one side is closer than the other.

Thanks for any help

Rob:)

The MT slick is 29.5x10.5 and it clears fine,The 2 drag radials I have 316 and 325 has wider tread making the sidewall come out further, the drag radial is 1/4 wider on section width,13 1/4

That tire is too big unless you jack the R/E up. 70-72 chevelles have about 13.5 from rolled lip to inside. Might get 13.75. If your section width is 13.25, a .25" on inside and out is not enough. 295/60 is about the max without jacking it up. On a 10" rim 5.5 B.S. is right. Bet its almost rubbing on the inside also.

The new wheels are not drilled for the drag radials, it is the 5.5 back spacing.

it has around 1/2 clearance on the frame rail on the slick , the test fit weld wheel rims that is the correct backspacing of 5.5.. On the drag radial,it has the same clearance on the frame. The 325 is a shorter tire and 1/4 section width narrower than the 315.
