Damn. I totally forgot about that car (for good reason). I had to look it up, then that abhorrent mess slapped me in the face all over again. :D I remember that era, there was virtually no good that came from those days, when the "customizers" with more money than brains were all trying to one-up each other with current model junk.
The only one positive thing about Dobbertin's J2000 was that the nitrous plumbing looked fantastically straight. There Ma, I said something NICE!! 🤣

Later on he had a couple more grandiose ideas. Like the Surface Orbiter...

Here with his first 2 cars that made Magazine print back then. Including the J2000 on the right.

Then there was the Hydro-car in '05

Researching to see if he's still alive (mostly because I wondered what ever became of that guy), I found that he has had more "normal" vehicle builds through the years, and currently has a business to keep himself alive. Dobbertin Performance

Although, looking at that site, he seems to be currently working on an "All Vette Buildup" stating that it's
A radical concept car, incorporating parts from all eight Corvette generations.
Oh shit! o_O
Love that Chevy II

I’m pretty sure I’ve told this story before but the girl in this picture looks exactly like a girl I had a massive crush on my first year of high school. My friends got so sick of me talking about her that one of them brought her over to me in the cafeteria and I fumbled so bad it was embarrassing. I was tongue tied like a mutha.

If that scene was a play in football it would be the time Leon Lett was three steps from the end zone in the Super Bowl and Don Bebee ran him down and swatted the ball out of his arm denying him the touchdown.

That’s how bad it was. If I ever ran into her today I think I could redeem myself…….maybe.

(sorry if this is a repeat story)
