I have what I believe is a new Race Demon RS. It was on my buddies shelf in the garage for 20 years or so. I was gonna try it on my street car and see how it works. It has the gold sleeves in it with 2 pv's and 85 square jets. I'd like to make sure that was the stock settings, or if it's been modified. Can anyone tell me what came in it ? Thanks guys.

Good point. The OP will have to look at the stampings on the drivers side of the secondary bowl vent to see if it is 'OT' for oval track or 'RR' for road race. They both had pri and sec pv's as noted. Passenger side should be a clear '56' cast into main body. Other common stampings are 'DR' for drag race that had pv primary only with jet extensions and notched float in the secondaries and 'GC' for general competition that had primary pv only. Of course each of these designations has a bearing on jetting.
I'm sure you know all this stuska1, the info above is intended to help the OP.
I have several RS Demon carbs and the gold sleeve 1.500" venturi is the best in my opinion.

If you haven't been told or picked up on it from reading, the main jet calibration on the Demons is about the only useful factory info. I've tuned on them for 15 years and can tell you the emulsion setup and ifr will need to be changed to get the best tune. The T-slots are too big and they come with too much emulsion. They can be made to run very well though.
