So figured out out all the plumbing and just waiting on a couple of fittings to show up. No on to build the headers. They will be forward facing coming g out the bottom of the front fenders. Who have you used to get tubing and collector, what type of collectors and did you back purge. Looking for stainless steel kits.

I have been looking 5 years to find someone to build some 304 stainless SB2.2 three step headers, 1-7/8 to 2" to 2-1/8" to 3-1/2" exit merge collector downswept dragster headers and a set of 304 stainless 2 step 2-1/8" to 2-1/4 to 4 exit merge collector" bbc fenderwell headers for a CJ7. I am going to have to bust for the fixturing tools and go into the business.

I use Bill Edwards @ Woolf Aircraft. You can get as technical as you want. I usually start with their header builder kit. You can determine what diameters you require, then add on from there should you decide you want 100% proper nesting etc. Their header build kit, I believe comes with a set of merge collectors already, sized to your specs. You need to decide if you're building a stepped header or not before hand, then order additional sized tubing accordingly. Woolf only uses top quality USA/German made SS material. Last kit I bought came with waterjet flanges, which work just fine. Should you want cnc cut headers, you made need to check other sources, but ask Bill. IMO, a waterjet/laser cut flange is just fine. You made need to do a little bit of deburring, but thats no big deal imo. WJ, lazer or cnc flanges will all work fine, just depends on your budget. Here's a set I build for a buddies mini cooper using a Woolf kit from Bill. Edit: Pretty car! Edit edit......3/8" thick flanges minimum

Nice build!

I used SPD when I did mine on my SBC '71 Chevelle. They also make stub tubes that are matched/formed to the header flange. I don't think they listed them in the catalog.

SPD makes some great products that no one else has! The 5" to 4" reducer in my downpipe is from them, as are the flex joints. Great quality, and the girls in the office are the best! Woolf is close to me, and Bill treats me like family. Best of both worlds.
