Trans brake and 2 step suggestions? Does the analog 8739 work just fine?
New racer, haven't used the trans brake yet because I haven't bought a 2 Step. I have both a digital and an analog MSD ignitions to choose from at home, the 6AL is in use now no problems with it. A.F.A.I.K. I have to buy either of these 2 Step units 8739 or 8732, I guess I'm asking for experience if you've used the analog MSD setup or if you think I should swap it out and put the digital 6AL in the truck.
(I'll buy a used 2 Step if you got it

I use the MSD Launch Control with 3-step #8735 and an old 6AL #6420 ignition. Been running it for years. No issues after hundreds of passes.

I have the 8732 along with my MSD Digital 6AL box for about 8 years in my stick car in my sig. Been happy with it.

I have not used the Analog box, so can not compare it.

Thank you everybody. I went 11.050 yesterday on midgrade gas all motor and I need a cool night to get it to 10.90 , my goal! 3x to the strip I hadn't got there... maybe the brake would do the trick. My two goals on this motor build was to get the other wheel up with the brake, and to get a hi 10 second pass

Just a heads up for the old style MSD module boxes. Last weekend at the track, I seen one cost a friend a round. The circuit board in them is held in place by 2 screws. Those screws came loose and fell out on the one he had in his dragster. Needless to say metal screws vibrating around and shorting out a 2 step isn't good.

Doesn't pertain to a new one but if any of you guys have some in older cars might want to check them.
