Need help here.....got wee bit lost here...

2000 F350 7.3 diesel..290k miles..

other shop replaced High pressure pump, filters, IPR, ICP, IDM, fuel pump and oil change.

Now I got this POS.....truck misfired badly, barely idles & runs, smokes like mosquito fogger & popping out from intake.

did the test, found CMP sensor fubar..[covered under Ford recall...don't asked why it is original sensor]:smt102

Recheck test...found ICP pressure seems low and IPR is bit high, found faulty cyl 7 injector [failed buzzed test], ......removed valve cover, check valve train..all looks good, nothing is broken.....removed cyl 7 injector...found seals were shot.....replaced seals on all 8 injectors.[many other injector seals are shot]..also replaced injector harness on both banks...

finally truck runs and it is idling but still misfiring, smokes and no power...you can floored the throttle and very little respond....it is not APP sensor...check that numerous times...

rerun KOEO injector buzz test, cyl 7 failed...
replaced #7 injector..failed buzzed test, I know I should have replaced #7 injector when replacing all injector seals but I just could not ripped off customer.

truck still misfiring, smokes and no power.

KOEO injector buzzed test...passed..
KOEO test = passed
KOER test= EBP code [that would not cause smokes and severely loss of power]
KOER cylinder contribution test, cyl 1,3 & 5 failed.

I was thinking to myself, no way cyl 1,3 & 5 failed cylinder contribution test....removed IDM and recheck..looks ok....did not see anything odd....
replaced IDM with Ford brand....trucks runs excellent when cold but as soon it warm up...everything goes to crapper...:toimonster:

am I missing something???

only thing I got today is one big friggin headaches..

check and make sure it has 60psi of fuel pressure and good clean fuel...if pressure is low on output side of pump , check on inlet side of pump..if it starts to pull vac, then suspect filters in sending unit are plugged...filters inside of sender resemble 2 roll of dimes......make sure oil is clean and full....write down dtc's ...clear dtc's then re start/re check

Yes, oil is clean and full.....fuel pressure is good.....no DTCs after replacing cyl 7 injectors but when performing KOER cylinder contribution test, cyl 1,3 & 5 failed [ very unusual on 7.3 diesel]....

if it was low on fuel pressure then it won't be smoking like mosquito fogger....smells like fuel in incomplete combustion [only when engine is hot].....

already did coolant system pressure test and vacuum test and combustion gas in coolant test...all are pass....

enough headaches for a day...till tomorrow....

I AM A CERTIFIED FORD DIESEL MECHANIC IT ONLY CAN BE THREE THINGS CRACKED HEAD, BAD INJECTOR CUPS WHICH IF ITS A BAD CUP YOU SHOULD HAVE DIESEL IN THE COOLANT IF IT NOT ITHER ONE OF THOSE ISSUE I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT THE TURBO IS BAD YOU NEED TO MAKE SURE YOUR WASTE GATE IS OPENING CORRECTLY AND MAKE SURE YOUR TURBO SHAFT DOESNT HAVE EXCESS SLACK OR YOU MIGHT HAVE SOME BAD INJECTORS THAT THE ONLY THING THAT WILL MAKE IT DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT

sorry for delay..got awfully busy and this week I got send to school for Advance Engine Performance training.

anyway, motor is junk, cylinder 1,3,5 compression are 40% low than others...it is first time I've seen three cylinders in a row has low compression.....customer declined repairs and op for reman motor.
