I've run my 5.3 ls turbo for two summers using an LS9 head gasket made for a 6.2. They have been flawless up to 17 psi over 50 passes and a bunch of street driving. I am changing to a different head shortly and I'm wondering if there has been a better option made available over that time? Going to be somewhere between 20-25 psi all in next summer. I'm a fan of ain't broke, don't fix it, but if a newer, better mouse trap has been developed, I'm all ears. Thanks all. Merry Christmas.

I'd have to open up the laptop, but I'm sure I'm in the teens. Greg says my low 9 second tune (I run C16 at the track) is safe enough timing wise, we could run it on 93, but it would be on the razors edge. C16 is just cheap insurance to me.

I've never read the plugs but I have videos of my runs at 2016 dragweek and I'm blowing black smoke just about all the way down.
We also have a video of my afr gauge and it was reading 10.0 the whole time.
thx

The problem with meth injection and a single wideband is that one cylinder can be extremely lean from uneven fuel distribution. The wideband could still read rich with one cyl. burned up.. That's when reading plugs are very important. Intercooled? Air temps? What cylinder?
