buy the 245 then 406-434 later...
bad advice.....by the time he buys heads and shaft rockers and all the special parts needed , he will have 4 grand tied up ....only to put on a 355. If he thinks his motor is a turd now, go ahead and stick thoses heads on it and see what happens.

My advice, call afr or chad and tell them your combo and have them pick the right head for your motor. I know all about what a wrong size head can do for a motor.

here is a run down of my motor

.040 bore 350=356
forged eagle crank ...5.7 h-beam rods...10.6 mahale pistons
team g single plane intake #7530 out of box
aed 750 carb
Herbert solid roller 287 int...300exh
@ 050...253...266...604...604....106 lobe
195 runner pro-filer heads ...econo port from chad ( speier racing)
2.02/1.60 valves
1.6 hardland roller rockers

This motor had a set of 215 dart platinum heads with 2.05/1.60 valve in them....best it ever ran was 10.62 @ 2850 lbs

Bought a set of 195 runner heads from chad, it was what he choose from my motor, keep in mind I wanted a set of 210 runners, I went ahead and bought the 195 like he said, no other changes to the motor but head swap.

first pass went 10.25 and I have ran a best of 10.16 @131 all on 93 pump gas.

So my advice would be call one of them and have them choose the correct head for you....spent your money only once and be done.

yes my mistake as I thought those were standard rockers heads....I would still consider the future when buying heads tho!

I ran RHS 200cc heads on my 12:1 358". Solid flat tappet. Holley Strip dominator, holley 950. Went 10.50's on a 26x8.5 @ 2950lbs? Went 8.92 on a 250shot

The old combo went a best of 11.96@114
3200 pounds
4500 stall, foot braked
4.11 gear, 28 inch tire.
--------------------------------------------------
That's alot of mph for an 11.96 et.... If it was sixty footing good, it would've ran around an 11.65.

3100 lbs 71 Camaro
1970 Z28 clone shortblock 11:1 compression
195cc Canfield heads 65cc chambers, un-ported.
Crane PowerMax HR cam #119841
4777 Holley 650 DP, Vic JR
1.75" Hedman #65104 headers
TCI 3500 stall 10" super Street fighter and a TCI manual VB, 350TH
4.10 spool axles C-clip Eliminators by Strange.
10.5 x 28 M/T slicks
6 point Jegs rooll bar kit
C/E bolt-in Subframe connectors
Homemade slapper bars, stock springs and old shocks.

Goes Mid to low 11's @ 116-119 depending on track prep, temps and air density.
All on 93 octane pump premium.

100 shot would be in the 10's
A bigger cam would be in the 10's
e85 would hit 10's

The AFR's CNC'd or unported are far better than what you have.
A roller cam of the same duration is a lot better than what you have.

If the valve size will work with the 4.040 bore size, they'll work, but..
Plan on More converter, More gear. Heavy car..
Run Brodix track 1s with a 221 intake port, 2.08 valve, .040 over factory 350 block, compression is around 12.8, 6 inch rod, 260-274 solid roller 110 cl, made 405 at the rear wheels with a 8 inch converter, turbo 400 and a 32 inch tire. strip dominator intake with a box stock 800 holley.

Car weighs 3180 with me in it and runs 7.0s in the eighth at 98 on motor, 6.20s @ 110 on a 125 shot and 5.80s @ 118 on a 250 shot.

I would bet the car would pull harder on motor with the AFR210s though.

Damn some of you gave gotten some good numbers out of these little 355s

Mine is a pump gas deal
40 over 350
Gmpp 1053 steel crank
Scat 5.7 h- beam rods
Je/srp pistons 2 valve relief flat tops
Edelbrock performer rpm head milled to 54cc ( 20 year old heads ).
Crane hyd roller 232/242@.050 .555/.558 lift 112 lsa
Pro products hurricane manifold
850 q series carb
Msd ignition
10.5:1 compression
Th350 with 3800 stall
Moser 9" with spool and 4.10s
255/60/15 mt drag radial ( 27x10.5x15 )
Car weighs 3200 pounds

My motor runs on pump gas , I've been a best of 11.50 @ 117 on motor and 10.90@125 on a 175 shot. Im hoping those numbers change as I had found some issues with the rear suspension on my car , which I'm currently taking care of. Also had the motor refreshed and found some issues with it as well that where totally my fault when I first assembled it.

Wonder if I could also improve in the head and cam department , but wanted to fix the rear suspension problem first , then see what kind of improvement I made.

How do you get a 350 to be 10.5:1 compression with 54cc chambered heads? Are you using dished pistons?
Flat tops would be about 11.5:1 w/54cc chambes.
