275/60/15 futura for hard tire drag class

We have a local class starting that's a true hard tire class. 30 mile cruise. Any tire with drag radial in the description is out.

I'm going to run a foxbody, ls, turbo, 1.80 gearset glide, and planning on those tires based on my research people seemed to have done well on them but am open to suggestions.

I have a set of them on my Chevelle as my dedicated street tire, i've never attempted to make a pass with them, but years ago there was a hard tire class on the west coast and a member here was runnning that tire. There is nothing drag radial about it.

Does the speed rating scare anyone on here? I was looking at h rated tires I may do some 1/4 mile and half mile stuff with the car and wasn't sure how much speed rating really mattered

No. Do a google search on what the speed rating is for. You will see that the tire peed rating has nothing to do with 1/4 mile drag racing.

The Douglass GT radial does pretty good when a little heat is applied. Lol. They seem to hook good for a street tire. I was once told the lower the rated mileage the tire has the softer the tread compound. Not sure how true that is.
