Got this off of modularfords.com

Congrats Strictly Performance- 9.96!

Congrats to Richard Lelsz and Strictly Performance on running the first 9-second run with a 2011 5.0L Mustang GT.

The shop swapped out the stock six-speed manual trans for a C4 and then he plumbed a direct port nitrous system. Using prototype tuning software, Lelsz threw down 656 rwhp this morning on the dyno.

The white GT features upper and lower control arms, Bogarts all around, and the aforementioned parts.

Tonight during Test And Tune at Houston Raceway Park, Lelsz ran 9.96 at 137 mph right off the trailer! Congrats to the entire team on running so quickly with the shop ride and pushing the boundary even further.

The guys at Strictly said they will have the video posted to YouTube later tonight. I will update the post when I get a link.

Read 'em and weep, bitches. Nine second barrier is gone. On to the 8's.

Don't ask me about the music. That's Richard's deal.....sometimes he forgets that he's white. ;)

Which reminds me of the conversation I had with Rick Head of Exile Turbo Systems earlier today. Trial fitting of the Stealth Twin Turbo System we have on my car will begin on Monday with a 2011 Mustang GT 5.0. Hang on, kids.....this shit's gettin' good.

If this damn economy would turn around, I want Rick to find someone to build his kit ECONOMICALLY! It's a bad ass kit, but just a hair too expensive. If it was down in price a bit, I could sell the hell outta it!
After we tuned the engine, swapped the converter and then tuned the tranny, that car became a true sleeper. It was in a plain jane GT with wide rear wheels and MT DRs on stock suspension and on the stock engine, it ran well in the 10s..........before getting the boot.

I don't see why he shouldn't get the same results from the 2011!

There is not alot of ET left until they start taking weight off. All these late model cars run BIG mph for there ET because they are making good power but with cars that weight 3,500-4,000#

I dunno, nines in a mostly stock 2011 sounds pretty damn impressive to me. I think of what it took my 91 5.0L to go nines at 600LBS less:rolleyes:
Kuddos to the Strictly crew! nice work, plus the Camaro is still an ugly POS in my opinion, LOL!

Ha I think its funny how there are big tire full on race cars that dont even run 9's! Could you imagine seeing a 2011 mustang sitting next to a big tire tube chassis car and the mustang beating it.

Just take a look at mine, Bill. Completely stock car with 8 psi and ten degrees of timing running 10.80's at 128 mph. Still had the stock mufflers too. If it had spooled at the starting line instead of 100 feet out it would run 10.60's at 130.

I'm not sure who/what is going to be working with him this time. I'm hoping this system will come in a bit lower since he doesn't have "those other guys" in the mix on this one.

I'd like to talk with Rick again about this system. I ran some numbers last year on this and I think I could get it to work at a certain level. I'll have to find them again and give him a call.

I like it because it's stealthy, easy to tune, no surging, fairly easy to install and pretty street friendly. I'd make one or two changes to it and call it done.
