i just finished my car this fall and only made it to a 1/4 mile test n tune and then an 1/8 mile race. the converter i used is way too tight and barely stalls at all. the car kept running quicker the more i ran it. on thursdays test n tune it went 7.27 in the 1/8 and 11.35 in the 1/4, then by sunday it was running 7.13 in the 1/8. anyway multiplying the 7.27 by 1.56 was almost spot on for my run, so i used it to figure out i probably would of been running 11.12 in 1/4 on sunday which would of been close to my 10 sec. goal.

x1.57 is dead on for me

8.00/12.56

&

6.60/10.36

I run 1/8 all year in both cars. Then in Indy (ET Finals), I run 1/4 in Sportsman and have ran 12.56.
The only two 1/4 passes in my S/P car were 10.36 & 10.38.

Dead on.

The most accurate way of coming up with 1/4 mile times from 1/8 miles times for several different combinations is to divide the 1/8 Mile time by the 330' time, then multiply that by the 1/8 mile time. Every combo will be different so this gives you one formula to base off of until some full 1/4 miles passes are made to check the ratio.

I think the chart I posted is for N/A cars.
I've been going by this chart for almost 30 years.
Not a lot of nitrous cars and very few turbo cars back then.

I wonder when the last time the Wallace calc was updated.

IMO - 1.55 for a blower/turbo car is a good ratio and 1.57/8 for a N/A car.

my $.02

that's an interesting formula - thanks

The Wallace never came out right for me on any of their calculators.
