Just trying to figure if I should change them out...one of them got hot while charging. I have the D1000. If I need to purchase new..what should I go with XP1000 or the D1600? Running a lot of stuff. Not a huge price difference. Running twin batteries with an alternator. Thanks for the help in advance.

Ive had the trick of the week lithium battery pack that ran the car but you started it up from another battery that was complete shit
Then I had the Xs lithium pro's batter Y back in the early day of their business and 1 out of 6 batteries both standard battery size and their half size was complete shit, even bought 3 chargers from the over time, send one back for updates, they were complete shit. Bought a rock battery from ronnie davis and it did fine just heavy as hell and ended up selling it at the track to guy in a bind, Turbo start was ok but you had to keep a freaking charger on it ALL THE TIME. Got a regular sized ago 16v xs battery that has done well no issues. BUT the best to me has been the Braille. I bought RJ's blue camaro from ADRL days and put that original battery in a 4x4 mud rail the other day with 867 fulton and it works as good now as it ever has, and it's only been on the charger twice inn 2 years (took a few cycles to get it fully charged but it spins fine)

Yes I work for Turbostart, just so we know I have nothing to hide. Turbostart is under new ownership and we are currently updated the product line. Currently in stock are the 48lb S16V batteries and they sell for $249.99. The lightweight, 29LB, S16VL will be available in August 2016. You can use your current 16V charger with them and YES we suggest that anytime a car is going to sit in the trailer or in the shop for a period longer that a week it should be on a maintainer(that goes for any battery). Our new CHG15A16V charger is a non programmable plug and play SMARTcharger. No gauge and no amp adjustment, small enough to throw in a toolbox draw. It monitors the battery and knows how to charge it without over heating the cells, it knows when to put the battery in float mode and you can also works as a maintainer so you can leave it plugged in all the time.

I got 2 seasons out of my XS 16 V lead acid battery before it started to give me problems. Went to one of the lithium batteries this time so I will see how long that lasts. The XS is a good battery. I think my charger was over charging and that led to a issue with the battery. I had the correct charger for the battery. It still charges and the battery holds a charge just not reliably
