I run a mildly built 383 Stroker in my Drag car. About 450-500 HP. Which spark plugs should I be running in it?
Name an American company that makes all their spark plugs in the USA and what city they are made, please. I want to use USA products also. But NGK does make good racing plugs.
and so does champion, autolite and nippon densoNGK does make good racing plugs.
There is an NGK spark plug plant here in West Virginia. It's in Sissonville... about an hour from where I live. I know people who work there.douglas said:I prefer to run an American produced spark plug. I believe in keeping Americans employed and keeping our economy strong.
They narrow and shorten the ground electrode considerably.^^^^^^ care to explain what "do a number on them" means a little more? Cheers in advance.....
Kind of, look at the ground electrode on an Autolite race plug and the strap is shorter.are you talking narrow like the electrode on an irridium plug? Or?
Never heard of anyone narrowing a strap. Cutting them back to expose half the center electrode has been a "thing" for decades. Most of the non-projected race plugs are already like that from the manufacturer.Kind of, look at the ground electrode on an Autolite race plug and the strap is shorter.
Some race teams narrow it as well as give it a cut back on the top. Hard to say what it's worth in HP on a dyno.
They look interesting but NGK and Autolite AR RACE plugs work greatI like the Brisk Silver Racing plugs. They come with the strap already cut down and work well for me.
Those Autolite AR plugs are what I use but NGK is excellent too!I've also heard of some cutting the ground strap completely off ?
