What's the difference on a Lowes John Deere & a dealer John Deere???

Are the John Deere D100 series tractors at The Home Depot and Lowes the same as the tractors at my local John Deere dealer? Yes. There is no difference between the D105, D110, D125, D130, D140, D155, D160, D170 lawn tractors at your local big box store, local hardware store or the corporate John Deere implement dealer. There may be some confusion in the fact that some retail stores do not carry the entire line. For example, one big box store may carry the D125 and D160, another store carries the D130 and D155. Your local John Deere implement dealer will also carry other John Deere lawn tractors that look similar. The other tractors they carry are much more expensive and may be a better choice if you have a large property to mow, a small acreage to maintain or own livestock.
This! If it’s the same model number it’s the same mower. Period.

That I know is not always true.

Many years ago I saw a show on PBS about a company owner that was going to walmart to cancel his contract.
They required him to use more plastic parts & thinner metal in his product for their SPECIAL product.
It had to be in the same packaging & same part number.
He had been doing it as they demanded and couldn't take it anymore and he told them to go pound sand!!!

Can't remember what the product was, it was not a $10 item.
Maybe a vacuum cleaner or ?? just can't remember.
It might have even been a push lawnmower??

.
In this case you are wrong. If HD or Lowe’s is selling a John Deere D110 it will be the same D110 you would buy at the dealer.

Now you’ll likely never see that unit at the dealer, they will only stock the higher end ones.

Yep. I bought an X739 4WD 4WS 3 years ago. I mow 5 acres with about a hundred trees on it and it takes me almost 10 hours. I've put 400 hours on it already and kinda beat the shit out of it with no problems. The only complaint I have is how the deck will lean to the outside around corners and cut shorter on that side. The 4WS option can cut right around a 8-10 inch tree no problem. For 15 grand it better hold up.
You need a zero turn. AWS or not, a zero turn will cut your mow time in half.
