What kind of power does it take to go 3.99 in a typical pro mod/TS car? say your average 2450-2650 lb car. Just curious.

3.99, you aren't going that quick for 100k.what are your goals? The 121 is a big step up in everything,
including maintenance.

That's not true anymore. Well I should say before pedo joe.

Old chassis car, glide and a 2500 HP Pro-Charger engine my buddy built is well under $100,000.

No clue how long it will last, I don't trust the engine builder he went to, but he built it!!!

Don’t let that be an excuse.

My 98 s10 has been .985 60’, 6.86@197 with a NA 565 and I don’t have all that fancy stuff.
rossler 210 xhd with no tricks, standard 9.5” chunk, heck the rear housing is even stamped steel.

What in the hell are you talking about???

I asked a simple question, I'm not going for 3.99.
A buddy has been trying to get me to put a clutch in my cars for 30 years because you get free ET & MPH.

What would I be making an excuse about by asking what combination you based your numbers on!!!
I know converter tech has gotten better for the big power guys, but they still use a clutch in P/S for a reason.

I built my cars, cage, fab work, wiring and plumbing, the only thing I'm not able to do is the machine work.
I do know that forced induction makes more power than nitrous at the higher levels,
I just didn't realize you could achieve those numbers for that kind of money! It's pretty cool really!

Take a conventional 565" and slap a big Pro-Charger on meth and it's not that hard to be at 2500 HP.
I wasn't there when they dyno'd it, but that's his plan, 3.99 or die trying.

The problem is an old car is not as stiff as a newer car or a double frame rail car for engines like that.
I bought a Pro-Charger several years ago and chickened out when I was unwilling to invest in a new car
or major surgery in my car.
I was going to do a Big Chief engine, with a conventional spare engine.

My car is a '94 built for P/S, so low torque, not really a good car for blown alcohol.
His car is even older.
