I have noticed Wal-mart is about $10 cheaper on a five qt jug of Valoline. I went to O'riellly to get a WIX filter, Wal-mart does not carry WIX. HMMM, price shopping?
Do you think the other retail stores arent trying to become more like Walmart?I avoid wallmark like a plague, corporate poison for everybody involved.
I can also shop from my couch on Amazon, so your point is really null and void. It is about convenience and whatever works for you.ranchopower said:SCAMSOIL beats them all @$10 a quart at the end of the year.
The negligible improved mileage pays for the purchase before it is time to change the oil.
Do not even need to get in your car and waste your time looking for the cheapest trash on the bottom shelf.
41 years old?I'm 41 years old been dealing with cars since before I could drive. I have never lost an engine due to the brand of oil, heck I have never lost an engine due to any oil or oiling issues never had to have it tested. The only thing amsoil offers is extended oil change intervals but you can get that with any semi syn or full syn oil. The only thing I have ever seen to be true on oil is to use the proper weight, keep the levels good and proper oil change interval for the car and oil.
The one amsoil product I do use is their fuel treatment.
I just broke apart a 6.2 GM product and was not impressed with Dexos at all.I think you'll find that as the gold top bottle meets Dexos 2 it has a 15,000 guarantee to meet a specific GM drain interval?
Do you know what dexos 2 is?
I don't really think many drag racers need this spec.
Perhaps when you are pushing your amsoil best oil in the world shite, you should compare apples to apples.
All of the Mobil1 products you have pictured are everyday API spec automotive oils, not racing oils.
