355 SBC, most likely Edelbrock RPM heads spinning no more than 6,500-7,000, undecided on cam until I get the turbos and head selection pinned down. Looking at two of the T4 1.05 A/R 92 eBay GT45's. I've been told they would be lazy, others have said they would work great. I'm about ready to pull the trigger, just want some feedback. Thanks!

The gt45's are only $190 shipped! Also found a package deal out there where you get a WG/BOV/turbo blanket and a GT45 for $300 shipped. Thats a pretty hard price to beat IMO. $110 for all the extras is a smokin deal.

Lag under 3500 rpm? My "tight" converter stalls over 3500 rpm once boost kicks in. I can't imagine many would spend much time under 3500.

I have twin gt35s (T4, roughly 6161s) on my 5.3 and they're a lot of fun. If I feather the throttle around 3k and stab it, I'm at 22psi in less than a second.

The appeal of the gt45 to me is of course cost first. But also you are pretty much guaranteed 1:1 back pressure ratios. Which means u can run a more aggressive cam and make much more power per LB of boost. Instantly having 20+ lbs of boost on a typical v8 isnt needed IMO. then u just fight traction all the time. The gt45 is big and heavy with old wheel design tech. But for 190 each I still think they are the best value out there.

That's stupid cheap.. Ordering 2 of them now. What size gate would you recommend?

Thought it was against site policy to post links to non sponsored merchandise? Guess they can remove it if is...

I guess the deal here is no one was buying the girly blue items. So the guys are selling them in a package crazy cheap.

Can of black BBQ grill high temp paint will fix it!

Check it out now: http://r.ebay.com/UJCuw8

So you finally decided to go for it. Nice! ;) That same $190 dealer is where I got my two. My 101mm large frame is gone now, so I am definitely going to run these twin gt45's on my 427.
